Apple Wireless Keyboard: A1255 keyboard not pairing. Works fine with Windows laptop

I have a couple of A1255 original wireless keyboards that work fine with Windows laptops. I can find them under Bluetooth devices and connect fine. Whenever I try and connect to Mac devices, it fails to register keys pressed in order to pair.

I have read that these keyboards (if paired with another Mac) need to be unpaired on that mac before they can be successfully paired with another Mac. But surely there's got to be a way to overcome this as I don't know which Mac they were previously paired with and don't have access to those macs.

I've tried keeping the power button pressed throughout the process but still keys are not registered when enter keys to pair screen pops up

Magic Keyboard: 2 keys registered as simultaneously pressed, when they're not

Hello good people,

Here's the situation:

When I press either the return/enter key or the P key on my Magic Keyboard, the keyboard/computer registers both keys as being pressed at once; they are "paired", if you will. This has been verified with the "Show keyboard viewer" feature enabled. Very bizarre. I've tried unpairing and pairing again multiple times, to no avail. It continues to happen even when connected to my MBP through the lightning cable and bluetooth turned off.

The portentous background to this is that I'd recently applied some rubbing alcohol to two keys on the other side of the keyboard that were sticking, though I did manage to get mixed up a few times and likely got some isopropyl underneath the keys in question as well. So I'm guessing that it's related, but it's still weird as !&&*!

Anyone got any ideas?

Magic Keyboard: Is wired connection to PC possible?

Hello,

I read in some Magic Keyboard tests that it does not actually need Bluetooth to work. If you just plug the lighting/USB cable to your Mac and turn off Bluetooth, it works.

I was wondering if the same was possible with a PC not equipped with Bluetooth, i.e. is the Magic Keyboard working when plugged with the cable into a PC.

Apple Wireless Keyboard: How to remove rubber feet off keyboard (A1314)

Apple Extended Keyboard A1243: Shift key doesn't work on the letter I/letter I and K

Ok, I know this sounds weird, but on my old iMac, the left shift key works fine for every letter except I and the right shift key works fine for every letter except I and K. Any idea why it would just be those key combinations that don't work?
Apple Extended Keyboard A1243: Keyboard dead, won't recognized by computer

Hi, I saved this keyboard from the reciclyng yard since someone in my office has thrown it away. The reason is the keyboard is not recognized by any computer when plugged in the USB port. Even the led on the caps key won't turn on.
