I looked at the hinge and it doesn't appear to have a tension type of adjustment that was obvious. The lid has been in the down position. I have not moved the turntable much since purchasing it. The hinges appear Ok.

Also, is there a specific pair of output jacks that Audio Technica used for original and where can they be obtained for replacement ?
