700R4 transmission: Is the 700R4 interchangeable with the Turbo 350?

Probably I will get nailed for this one, but here goes.

I have a 1986 Chevy K20 Pickup. It originally came with a Turbo-Hydramatic 350 transmission. It has a 700R4 installed now, which is shot. Will I be able to re-install a T350 with no other wiring or tubing modifications? Should I just be safe and find another 700r4 and throw it in?

Off computer topic I know, but hey do I care? There is a big knowledge base out there.

Regards,

Engine: Starter turns engine over twice and then stops completly

I recently overheated and the car died. Upon trying to restart the car I turn the key and hear a single click. Thinking it was the starter I took the start to autozone to have it tested and they said it passed. I also exchanged my battery just in chase. After putting the starter and the battery back in I try to turn it over again. I will get two, sometimes 1 turn over and then the starter will just stop. the gauge lights will come on and turn off when trying to start then come back on once I stop. There is no check engine light after the initial few seconds its on when you first turn the key and the fuel pump engages. I am wondering if it is possible the engine seized up but it will roll in drive and reverse (automatic) but I wasnt able to get it to turn using the crank pulley and a socket. Not sure how much force I am suppose to use to turn it but it was extremely hard and I was in fear of possibly breaking something so I didnt over due it.

Summary: When I turn the key I will get 1 or 2 very slow cranks from the starter and then nothing at all. No noise no spark.

Upon inspecting the engine I do see gas on the fuel line as well as tips of spark plugs

I can push the car in drive and reverse but I havent been able to turn it using a socket and the crank pulley.

When I try to start it the positive wire on the battery terminal to the starter gets warm. im assuming due to a bad ground which they all looked good or because the starter is pulling to much power because turning the engine is to challenging due to it possibly being “partially” seized… paradoxical

It doesn't have an air filter though. The spark plug looks clean. I cleaned out the gas tank, fixed the pull string. I was told it didn't have spark. What should i do now? Thanks

700R4 transmission: Help with setting the 700r4 tv cable.

I have a 1972 Corvette that I put a 700r4 transmission in and have a question. I have been trying to adjust the tv cable as everyone has told me to Push down on the release tab and push the center tab in on the end of the cable, then go to full throttle and it should then set the cable to the correct setting meaning the center tab should click into place. Mine is free and moves easy, its a new cable and its being put on an Edelbrock duel guad carb setup. However it doesn't click out at all, no movement. Does that mean that it's set and doesn't need anything further? Or does it mean that the throttle lever and tv cable end aren't traveling far enough? I have went so far as to pulling on the cable end to see if it will click out and it does.

Brakes: Getting two different size dimensions front rotors

Ok I went to VIP to get my front rotors and brakes for my 2016 Chevy Impala ltz limited .Now in there computer going by my exact make and model year so on. They kept bringing out rotors that I jus new were to big and nobody could understand why and they tried different brands of rotors and so on with the same result they were to big at this point me and the employees were clueless to why this was happening . So then we decided to put in my vehicle Vin number instead . And sure enough they went to grab that rotor and it turned out to be a smaller dimension. Does anyone have any idea why this would happen . I Kno sometimes they make mistakes but we went over everything top to bottom together on the computer and everything was correct as far as putting in my vehicle info . But the VIN number clearly did something different to get a different size pulled up when putting in all the correct information on my car was coming up with bigger size . If anyone has any answers to this would be very helpful myself and VIP both was at a loss of words with no explanation.

Thanks very much if you could shed any light on the matter !!!
