Canon PowerShot A590 IS: How do I replace the batteries?

I'm having a problem with my Powershot A590. The camera appears locked with the lens extended. Now I can't open the battery compartment to replace the batteries. Normally, to open the compartment you slide the battery compartment lever on the cap forward and then slightly to the left as the arrow indicates but the battery container will not move left. I'm stuck with a camera with the lens fully extended but no lights or indication of power at all. No images can be seen on the view finder, no illumination at all. How can I get the battery container open to replace the batteries without breaking the camera?

Hi Everybody, does anyone have a parts list for the EOS 5D Mark IV please?
I need the part numbers for the hot shoe bracket, retaining screws and the spring plate insert.
Although the hot shoe looks identical to that on the 5D MkIII (Canon Part No CB3-4683), I can't find any references confirming compatibility or otherwise.

Hi! I have a Canon Ixus 185 camera. I haven't used it in a while, and when I turn it on, the lens doesn't capture an image, just a black screen. So, like I said in the title, my camera won't turn on. And to be more precise, not even the screen or the red flashing LED won't turn on. my friend took her Canon Powershot G7 to a repair shop as her camera isn’t turning on anymore. They told her that there’s no issue with the battery and it is probably an electrical problem. However, since the camera is old now, he won’t do the repair. I wanted to ask if anyone has experience in sending their Cameras to be repaired to individuals who are experienced in repairing older canon cameras (preferably somewhere in Europe)

For context, my friend gave me this ixus 95 (Sd1200) camera to keep, and it said to replace the battery so i charged it up, and it worked fine. When i tried to use the autofocus function, since it was still blurry, it wouldn't work, so i kept trying and eventually the camera effectively crashed, leaving the lens extended, now every time i power it on, it does a couple clicking noises then hands me a lens error. I was looking at the lens and the gap between the lens itself and the casing it a little uneven. I want to know if there is anyway to fix it. (for added context, my friend had it in their room for a while and its been a while since they tried turning it on.
