1999-2007 Chevrolet Silverado: My reverse light are always on

My 05 chevy 1500 has a flatbed on it and was done on amature hour. The rear end wiring wasnt working so I decided to run new wiring from the fuse box using a fuse tap all the lights work but the problem is my reverse lights are always on. My question is does the switch for the reverse lights that i assum is either on the shifter or transmission lie between the battery and fuse box or the fusebox and the lights. If it's the latter then obviously I bypassed the switch but none of the other lights are like that so I don't see that being the case

Chevrolet Silverado: 2014 Silverado 1500 4WD Issue – Truck Feels Locked Up, Only Auto Mode

I have a 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500 LT 4WD (5.3L) with the button selector and recently started having a strange issue.

A few days ago, I switched from 2WD to Auto while driving, then later back to 2WD. When I went to reverse into a parking spot, the truck felt like something was binding up or partially engaged. It was very difficult to move in both forward and reverse, almost as if the parking brake were applied, and the tires would scrub somewhat on the pavement.

I also received a "Service 4WD" message.

Current symptoms:

At startup, the 2WD light comes on briefly, then the red Neutral light comes on, and both go out.

If I turn the selector to Auto, that light will illuminate and stay illuminated, but the truck still doesn't seem right.

2WD, 4HI, and 4LO will not light up.

The truck feels like the transfer case may be partially engaged.

I don't hear any loud grinding noises.

I disconnected the battery to try a reset, but the issue remains.

I'm trying to determine whether this is more likely:

Transfer case encoder motor/actuator?

Transfer case control module needing a relearn?

Position sensor issue?

Wiring or fuse problem?

Something internal in the transfer case?

Has anyone experienced these exact symptoms? Any diagnostic steps or common failures I should check before throwing parts at it?

I really appreciate any help you can provide.

2007-2013 Chevrolet Silverado: Windows roll down but not up

Hello everyone,

I have a problem with my power windows. They all roll down using the driver door or their own switch but the only one that rolls up is the driver window. My driver door also has an issue with unlocking and locking the door, not sure it’s related or not. I’m not sure if I need to replace a fuse or the whole switch or if it’s something more complicated. I don't hear any grinding or noise, they just don’t move up.

2007-2013 Chevrolet Silverado: No oil pressure, sounds rough when running

Ok trying to help a friend. She lost oil pressure. Everything looked EXACTLY the same as when my 2009 ksilverado 2500hd lost oil pressure. If you reved the engine a little pressure would climb. On mine, new oil pump n she's running like the 508k mile beast that she is. Hers? Replaced oil pump, did oil change, now NO pressure showing plus sounds like crap. Primed pump, so not the issue. Replaced screen and pressure sensor. Still nothing. Don't have adaptor to check for actual oil pressure with my gauge. Pickup tube oring is great. Pickup tube screen clean. AFM Pressure relief valve looks ok but unsure how to test. We are running out of ideas fast, and she doesn't have alot of money. Really wanna keep this truck running for her because as much as she hates this truck, it belonged to her late husband so has alot of sentimental value.

1999-2007 Chevrolet Silverado: Manual movement of mode actuator still doesn't turn on defrost

Hello-I have an 06 silverado. Control knob for vent/floor/defrost went out after I spilt some change and a single dime went down a defrost vent (stupid I know). Yesterday, I found out on youtube how to manually move the mode actuator. If I move the actuator manually, I can get heat to come out the floor or vents but the position that should be defrost doesn't blow any air out of the defrost vents. Any thoughts on a fix? Can I physically get into the air vent to remove the dime/could the dime really be the reason the vent door is causing a problem or is it something bigger? Seems strange that the actuator will work for floor and vent but not defrost....
