Yamaha PSR-195: Why is my Yamaha PSR-E253 automatically keeps on playing tempo?!

My yamaha keyboard (Piano) PSR-E253 automatically plays tempo right after I turn the keyboard on. Or even after a minute while playing some chords. I love to play the piano but I get mad since while i play some chords for a song then the tempo plays and music starts to play. I pressed the Portable Grand Piano then it switches to tempo again!. I don’t know what to do. Pleaseee helppppppppp.

Hi. Thank you for answering. @jayeff

Umm… I don’t even know if it is on or off. How do i know?.

Theres a button that says Function in here.

And if I press on it it’s like you choose something… and theres something called YourTemp….. I pressed some minus sign and it says off but still I don’t know if it.s the tempo function. It still keeps on playing tempo.

Electronic Keyboard: Unsure midi is working

I have a KX88. The midi out is connected to the midi in of a UA-25EX which has a USB into my iMac. Since moving home and starting to use Garage Band the midi doesn’t appear to be working. Previously it worked perfectly using Logic; which is no longer installed on my iMac. Im unsure whether Garage Band has a hidden setting I can’t find or whether damp might have got into the keyboard when it was in storage. Really hope not! The KX88 powers up and displays as normal so am hopeful the midi is still working. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Electronic Keyboard: Yamaha PSR 730 mains cable required

Hi guys hope you can help me out here. The mains adaptor has stopped working as I can see a wire has come out near the connector plug due to wear and tear. I am having difficulty locating a replacement mains adaptor as the last adaptor I purchased just didn’t work. I think the issue is that the keyboard is a good 15 years old and the original adaptor is no longer available.

Would appreciate any ideas on how I can source the correct adaptor. Thanks

CASIO CDP-230R: 6,3mm jack stick, stuck inside socket

Situation is such: I accidentaly kicked the plugged in jack stick and it broke off the tip of the stick deep inside the socket. I am unable to get it out and since the keyboard thinks there is a headset plugged in, the speakers are silent.

Solutions already tried and tested:

Glue on the end of a stick

Glue inside q-tip

Yelling at it

I took apart the keyboards front panel, but the jack stick socket is still unaccessible (see photos).

Casio LK-170: Volume Control interfering with power button

I used my Casio LK-170 few days ago and ran perfectly fine. Just 2 days ago, it won't power on (with adaptor or batteries). During trouble shooting found out that the Volume Control need to be on high or the keyboard will not power on. Once powered on, and you lower the volume control, it creates buzzing noise from the speaker. Why would volume control have any affect on the unit turning on or off? and what is the remedy in this situation? Does the volume control needs to be replaced?
