Google Pixel 7 Pro: Fingerprint reader not working on new screen, how to troubleshoot?

I recently changed the screen of my Pixel 7 Pro, the display and the touch feature both work well; the fingerprint does not.

When I try to setup the Fingerprint Unlock android feature, I immediately get the following error on the Touch and hold the fingerprint sensor screen:

Fingerprint setup timed out
Fingerprint enrollment didn't work. Try again or use a different finger.

Things I tried but didn't fix the issue:

Ran the official repair app on: https://pixelrepair.withgoogle.com/carri... (after successfully pairing with my phone, the app displays an error stating that the software on my phone is newer than that of the tool and is unable to scan it).

Factory reset.

Re-opened the phone and double-checked the screen-to-frame connector.

Doubled-checked the sensor-to-screen connector (came installed but I disconnected and connected it back).

Downloaded and installed the Android USB driver for windows on my PC https://developer.android.com/studio/run...

Successfully ran the Update and Software Repair Tool on https://pixelrepair.withgoogle.com/udfps

None worked, however after doing point 6, the error message takes more time to appear.

Before the new screen I remember my screen would turn very bright white on and around the fingerprint sensor, now it doesn't.

I have the fingerprint sensor from my old screen ready to install on the new screen but before risking damaging the new screen, I thought I asked here:

Is there any other way to troubleshoot the fingerprint reader via software to be sure it's not working?

Google Pixel 6 Pro: Pixel 6 Pro bootloops even on charger after clean flash - Battery or Motherboard?

My Google Pixel 6 Pro (4 years old) is stuck in a bootloop.

**Symptoms:**

Stays completely stable in Fastboot mode.

When booting into Android, it either loops at the Google logo or reaches the home screen for ~10 seconds before crashing and restarting.(sometimes stays longer but then gets stuck for 10sec before crashing)

Crashing is triggered by launching apps or high-load tasks.

The issue has progressed from rare/random to guaranteed every time the phone boots.

**Crucially:** The crashing happens even when the phone is connected to a wall charger.

The battery percentage drains gradually to 0% and does not "jump" or drop suddenly from 20% to 0%.

**Steps Taken:**

I have already tried flashing the official firmware using ADB and the Google Official Tool. The flash was successful, but the bootlooping and crashing persisted.

Tried multiple chargers and cables.

Is it possible for a 4-year-old battery to cause this "voltage sag" crash even when plugged in and without showing typical "percentage jumping" degradation? Or does this progression point to a motherboard/PMIC failure?

Google Pixel 8: New Screen Black on Water Damaged Phone

My phone got water damaged when a sealed bag leaked in a chlorinated public pool. The bottom sat in a very small amount of water for a few minutes, but it was enough to cause the screen to go black. Initially it was completely non-functional, but after a few days in a rice bag, it was able to power on, receive notification bells, working GPS, phone calls, microphone and speakers worked. Everything worked except the screen. Then the screen worked for a few days, but very unreliably and eventually started flickering wildly and finally failed completely. The touch still worked, but no display, just all black.

That's the background. Since everything else on the phone appeared to be working, I thought it worthwhile to attempt a screen replacement and ordered the kit. I very slowly, meticulously, and carefully followed the instructions. Unfortunately, upon removing the old screen, I noticed a small amount of what appears to be very minor corrosion on the logic board next to the screen pins (see pics), so I gently cleaned it as best I could with alcohol and a Q-tip, then brushed it gently with a nylon brush, waited for it to dry completely, then installed the new screen. Sadly, even the new screen is still entirely black and even the touch doesn't work, even after re-seating a couple times.

Is there anything I've missed or should try before requesting an RMA? I'd love to get it working, but I can't think of anything else to try and finding a logic board, aside from being far more difficult to replace, is difficult to find and would change the entire device ID anyway. In other words, all my data is lost, and there is no longer a point in trying to recover it at that point. Fortunately, I was able to backup my data in the brief moments when the damaged screen was working prior to the repair.

Google Pixel 6: New LCD Screen (with frame) - can't install

I purchased a new LCD screen for my pixel 6. I got the one advertised as 'with frame'. I realize now that the screen that i took off the phone came out without the said frame. What is the approach I should take - can I remove the frame that is within the phone along the sides or do i remove the frame from the new screen (which doesn't appear easy). What approach is best/possible? If i can remove the old frame from the phone does the new screen with the frame just click in at that point?

Google Pixel 7a: Pixel 7a screen black after replacement but phone vibrates

I recently replaced the screen on my Google Pixel 7a with a genuine part from iFixit. After the repair, the screen remains completely black.

Google Pixel 4a: How to solve gps issues, why no new gps cable in shop?

Any experience here in the cleaning and re-connecting the GPS cable(s)? (Pixel 4a).

Planning to change my battery, but it is really necessary to have a good gps afterwards. It has had some rain in the past. Maybe some oxidation but its so hard to open, simply testing is not easy. So at battery exchanging time, it would be very nice to solve gps issues before glueing it back together.

I do not see new gps cables here. Someone proposed a new motherbord, thay seems waisting money if that is not 100% sure the cause. I am an experienced Electronics Engineer, connectors seem my first assumption of the cause. I cannot find other experiences. Just a new cable and cleaning its opposits seems a better approach but its like nobody has done that before?

And (why) are the cables not available?

Google Pixel: How to fix google pixel gps not working?

Recently I bought a used google pixel where I replaced the battery and I was happy with it. Today I went to a field where there is no WiFi and cellular. My last phone got a GPS 3D fix here in seconds and this one spent 10 minutes and didn’t connect to a single satellite. I downloaded GPS test and it shows a lot of satellites in view and zero in use. The google one on one support chat suggested a few things that I tried but it didn’t help so they recommended to return the phone for a replacement but the problem with this is 1st I’m not in the US, 2nd It’s a used phone so I don’t have anything else than the device itself. So is there any hardware or software solution I should try?

Things I tried:

Resetting to factory settings / wiping phone.

Not opening dev options.

Resetting GPS data.

Changing high accuracy location settings.
