HP Pavilion dv9000: Best way to reflow?

I am looking into the heatgun, blocking the vents(wow, that will do MORE damage then good), reballing, replacing the board if I get the right donor

I have asked about the best way to implement data removal separately and actually made it understandable

How I deal with these laptops is very simple, clean the heatsink, get Artic Silver 5, replace the thermal pads on these ticking death clocks to keep them around longer(I get it, I CHOOSE to take these)

I will do this on ANY NVIDIA plagued laptop I need to fix to keep them from dying again as quick(I have worked on a friend's with a reflow, it lasted 2 years before it died, better then a year and then it died before)

HP Pavilion dv9000: Diagnosis of a frozen splash screen?

So, last night my computer decided it didn't want to boot past the HP splash screen.

Usually there are several option commands at the bottom (press F2 for this, press F10 for that, etc) but in this case there were none. I turned the computer off and restarted, only to be greeted with the same thing. I unplugged my external hard drive, and all other peripherals that were plugged into the computer, with a similar result, only this time the function options were present at the bottom of the screen, however the computer was frozen. I restarted the computer again, and the options were available. I ran a quick scan of the hard disk, and everything passed and the computer booted as normal.

My question is: What could cause this, and how can i avoid it in the future? Could my computer be teetering on the brink of its final boot?

NOTE: The battery had completely depleted, I am guessing while the computer was still running. I ran out of the house and turned off my power strip, but forgot to shut down the computer.

HP Pavilion dv6-nr: (HP Pavilion dv6-2030SA When booting, I get nothing, just fan & lights

I have a HP Pavilion DV6-2030SA (the Pavilion dv6-nr was the closest model i believe) where when i power up the laptop, i get just the fan spinning and no beep codes or anything, i did get the caps lock and num lock before i started getting nothing, i have had the blinking caps and num lock key issue before but i was able to solve it be removing the CMOS battery and reseating it. I have tried removing all unnecessary devices like hard drive, wireless card, bluetooth module and have tried different DDR2 RAM. I have asked on the HP forums but they said they cant help because i use linux on the machine (what does not affect a potential BIOS issue) and the fact that it is an old model.

Hp Pavilion dv6-2155dx: intermittent black screen at startup

Occasionally, when I start my laptop I will get a black screen although I will hear the OS in the background. If I quickly press the power button and let it flash 3 times and then press it again, I will get the startup screen and I can log in and proceed as usual. This work around helps but I would really rather fix the problem as this is becoming rather repetitive. Can you help?

I have this HP pavilion dv6. Its decked out with a i7-2670QM and no dedicated graphics and 8gb ram. My dad got it from America and finding a replacement screen down here at the Balkans is almost impossible. I also did a thermal paste replacement, and because the fan was making very concerning rumbling sounds i re lubricated it. It works like a charm now (besides the screen). Now my only use for it is to keep it as a server pc but i want to be ready for when ill have to return my main laptop to my job. So i really want to get this bad boy up and running so i can be prepared for the future. In case you lost track: Where screen pls
