HTC Android Phone: How to fix cracked HTC Desire Eye M910n front screen?

Hey Everyone,

My HTC Desire Eye front screen glass cracked recently. As far as I know, Glass replacement and LCD display replacement are separate things, but I don't know specifically about my telephone. Can you tell me please should I also replace the LCD screen? (maybe they are glued like Iphone 4) There is 200 euros difference between "only front glass" and " with LCD screen". SO I really need help ASAP.

Thanks in advance,

HTC One: HTC One M7 Completely Dead, possible fix

HTC One M7 ( PN0731).

Not sure what happened to it, but there is no charge, no connect nothing through USB, no Boot, not even a little red light when plugged in. No JTAG, since no power to the board it seems.

Scratching my head to figure out why, cant come up with any reason for such a complete failure. So examined it with microscope.

Found one component that might be the problem.

Location on Board:

Zooming in you can see that there is an IC that is cracked

What I'm looking for is help with 3 things:

1. Do you think this is the problem?

2. What is this component? It has an code (PAY 328), but I have no idea what that symbol in the top right corner is, so no idea how to look it up.

3. If not that, any ideas? I'm mostly concerned about data recovery, not making the device work again, so if anyone has ISP pinouts that might be a way to go

T-Mobile G1: Why did the phone stop getting a signal?

Recently my phone stopped getting a signal. Having no memory of dropping it, bumping into something with the phone in pocket, or placing it near any liquids, I can't figure out why the phone says "No Service". Accessing Settings>Wireless Controls>Mobile Networks>Network Operators, and selecting "Search Networks" result in finding either AT&T or no carrier at all. However, tapping the bottom right corner of the phone (Front Side) gently, on something such as the inner part of the knee, sometimes enables the phone to acquire a network connection. Strangely, placing a call while the phone is connected to a network will put it back in the "No Service" state after only a few seconds, while texting or simply leaving it be will allow it to remain in service much longer. Is there a solution??

HTC One: Patch fix for blown speaker

Hi,

My HTC One's top speaker is blown.

I have bought it from abroad, hence I don't have warranty in my country. Therefore I want to fix it myself.

I am planning to fix it by patching very thin paper (about 30 micron thickness) to the teared area with instant glue.

Would it be possible to just open the top speaker grill without opening whole body? Maybe with application of some heat to the speaker grill itself?

And can you comment on my fix? Would it work? Would it still decrease the volume of the speaker noticeably if I work with a really small piece of paper very precisely? Would it have another unwanted effect on tone, etc?

I may consider replacing the speaker with a new one, I know in this case I will need to open the phone completely from the teardown, but I can't find original beats speakers on the internet. All I find is substitutes such as seen in http://www.ebay.com/itm/HTC-One-M7-Lauts... and http://www.ebay.com/itm/Speaker-Buzzer-R...

So I'm not sure about if these speakers will perform as good as the original ones, and think that fixing the original would be better.

What do you think and suggest?

Thanks a lot...
