Huawei Mate 10 Pro: Next update on Mate 10 pro?

I would like to know when my phone is gonna get next update (EMUI 8.1 or Android 9.0 ????? ) I recived updated for face unlock few weeks ago (BLA-L29 8.0.0.142 (C432). So I'm just curious to know when I will get new features on this phone ☺

Huawei Mate 10 Pro: Apps in Background not running

I have 2 apps which very important for me... But those apps are stopping to provide their services each time I need them. The apps working just fine for a couple of times and then stopping to work till the next time I press on the app to access into the apps... It means that the apps are not running properly in the background...

Huawei Mate SE (BND-L34): Where to find replacement screen

I'been using this phone without any issue, however accidently dropped my Mate SE phone down a flight of stairs and as a result the screen developed cracks. I called multiple stores in my area but none of them carries replacement screen for this phone (model # BND-L34).

Can anyone let me know where to source quality replacement screen for this phone?

Huawei Mate 20 Pro: Camera stopped working after screen replacement when fully assembled.

So after I replaced the screen on my mate 20 pro the camera didn't work. When I opened the camera app (or any other app that can access the camera) the screen stays blank and it seems the screen is frozen (can't use any options on the screen / can't flip the camera).

When I take off the backplate above the motherboard the camera works fine, but as soon as I put the backplate back on the camera stops functioning.

Anything I should watch out for? Any help is appreciated!

Hi everybody,

this morning I've been quite dumb: trying to insert the sim into the newly arrived mate 20 pro, I inserted the pin into the left bottom hole instead of into the correct one on the sim slide...

Does anybody know what are those two holes? Microphones? May I have broke something? For example the waterproof integrity?

I installed a testing app and tried to register covering alternatively the two holes and it seems that the phone correctly register my voice..

There is a third hole on the top, is that another microphone?

I'm not sure I damaged something: when I phone, on the other side my voice is well received, besides I re-tried to insert (extremely slowly and carefully) the pin inside both the bottom holes and it find something hard at the same depth, so it seems that nothing has been perforated.... but, I really would like to know where to find technical schematics or tear down videos to see how these two microphones are mounted and which is their function.

If I try to register something with the recorder app and I tap alternatively on the left hole and the right hole, only the second tap is registered... so two are the cases:

1) I destroyed the left microphone, but the right one is sufficient for any application to work correctly

2) Nothing is destroyed, but the left hole is something else or the microphone inside is used for other purposes (noise reduction?)

Does anybody know where to find the phone schematics?

There is also a message with a link to what is probably a gambling website. How do I block this?

Huawei Mate 8: Does changing the battery also require us to change the screen?

I've been having battey charge drop problems. When I go to the Huawei service center they tell me that battery change will also require a screen change. (Without even checking my phone). They say that the battery comes with the screen. My screen is in perfect condition. Is it true that the battery change will also require a screen change?

Hi all! I'm trying to revive my old phone by replacing the bloated and dead battery and found out about this issue. I know I can still buy a motherflex cable for mate 10 but the pins on the motherboard itself are broken.

Hello, I saw the teardown made to the Mate 20 Pro and I'm wondering if there are any plans for Mate 20 X teardown? I'm asking because I've thought about adding the wireless charging module from the Mate 20 Pro to the 20 X but not sure if the connections are similar enough to be viable. Thank you.
