Kingston HyperX Cloud II: Kingston HyperX Cloud Core - broken 3.5mm jack

Greetings community!

FIRST :: I apologize but this question is related to the Kingston HyperX Cloud Core Gaming Headset (KHX-HSCC-BK) -NOT- the Cloud II or the CloudX. The Cloud Core was not listed as an option when I was choosing a device for this question.

The 3.5mm jack broke off in my son’s Xbox One controller. I managed to get the piece out of the controller but have no idea what type of replacement jack I need to purchase. I have cut the main cord back to see the wires (picture attached).

This is what I have found after hours of rummaging around reading the threads of other people who have similar problems.

Xbox supports the CTIA wiring standard

Blue is Left

Green is Right

Red/White is Mic

Copper is Ground

Can I fix the Headphone 3.5mm that only works in Certain positions that helped me the most but I am STILL fuzzy on what I need 3.5mm jack I need to purchase & where each of my wires will need to be soldered. Can someone link a suitable 3.5mm jack from Amazon or wherever? I would be so thankful.

Thanks so much in advance.

Jay

Kingston HyperX Cloud II: Left ear stopped working. Dead driver

Hello

I have the hyperx cloud alpha, out of nowhere the left ear stopped working, i saw some guides over here said that it could be a faulty wire so i tried to investigate and found that the left speaker (driver) is dead (i tested the drivers with some voltage the right driver made some noise while the left one is completely dead)

My question is this thing fixable ? Anywhere to buy the driver or if i managed to get a broken cloud 2 can i fit its driver in the alpha?

Thanks for any help

Kingston HyperX Cloud II: Headset cable broken cannot rewire

So after using the HyperX Cloud 2 for like 7 months I cannot hear anything from the right ear cup.

This happened when I was playing CS:GO.

I played several times with the cable going up in the headband, that's why the cable broke. (Check image)

(It's actually the other cable going up in the headband that broke)

I tried to wire them back and plug it in. It didn't work because the green wire has a special coating ? (Check Image)

(Not the broken wire)

(The broken wire)

Now only the mic and the left ear cup is working, what can I do to fix the wire problem ?

I tried to wire them back together but it didn't work because of the special coating i'm guessing ?

Kingston HyperX Cloud II: Fixing the right earphone - only works with 7.1 (Hyper X Cloud II)

Hey everyone,

My right earphone stopped working. I have read the other threads but I still am not sure what to check for or how to fix it. Everything seems to be attached like the other images I’ve seen.

I’m pretty sure the damage is on the left side, as before it stopped working entirely I could sometimes get it to work by bending the main feed wire.

Could anyone provide me some specific guidance?

Thanks!

Here is a picture of the left.

Edit: It works if I use the USB dongle and turn on 7.1, which is very strange. But it won’t work plugged directly into my phone (no dongle, obviously).

Kingston HyperX Cloud II: Left Ear not working, works when I bend the wire a little

I stopped using this headset for a while, so I packed up the wires and put it back in it’s box the way it got shipped to me. I opened it up back in December of 2017 when I got a new PC. It worked fine for a long time, although the wire braid started to wrap around itself, causing the underwire to become exposed (not the actual wires under the entire thing, just the not braided point that has a matte color, it’s still covering the actual wires) and bent at a very steep angle. This was completely harmless to the audio quality for months. Eventually, sometime back in August, the left ear stopped working suddenly, and if I bent the wire in a certain position it would start working again, until the wire was touched again. I dealt with this for the longest time until suddenly it just stopped working no matter how much I bent it and what direction I bent it in. These knots happen all up and down the wire. I’ve been fine with this for a long time, and eventually I got used to it, but honestly its the most annoying thing. I paid 100 bucks for these headsets, and they had the best sound quality I had heard in a long time, and I desperately miss the amazing sound quality. I honestly don’t have the money to pay for these again. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!
