My son damaged the kindle but I did not witness how he did it. Now the screen stays blank but you can hear sound when turning the volume up and down or when pressing the on/off button. Is this fixable? Could I fix it myself or do I need to take it somewhere?

Ok, so I took apart my old broken kindle fire and I only have the motherboard left. Now the problem is that there's a soddered casing surrounding what I believe to be the memory card.

Does anyone have troubleshooting info or electronic schematics for a Kindle HD 7? The volume icon keeps popping up with max volume and you can't close it without squeezing the case or bending it. I'd like to be able to understand how the fool thing works and some testpoints to identify the bad component rather than just replacing parts until I hit the right one.

I dropped my kindle and the glass is cracked, i am still able to play games on it, i use one of the screen saver plastic strip, I would like to replace the glass, I saw that it might be a digitizer to replace instead, Can you tell me what I can do? My kindle fire HD has been through alot. It has dropped in numerous amounts of puddles, It has been dropped on hard wood floor, tile, and concrete. But one day, it just wouldnt charge. I think something was attached to the battery to charge it, and it disconnected. Ive has this kindle for 2-3 years and I dont wanna lose it. What do I do?

Basically,

Kindle shut off. became unresponsive. If i plug it in it gets to the 'kindle fire' screen then turns off after 4 seconds. Ive tried all resets to no prevail. I decided I would pry off the back and check nothing was loose in the motherboard, after blowing the dust out and pushing everything down the kindle rebooted and started! I replaced the back and then tried to turn it on again..same problem as before, unresponsive! guess my question is, which part of the motherboard is causing this problem?! as i know its something loose as it restarted before! please help! thanks :)

How do I fix my power button and volume buttons. Neither one of them will work. It won’t turn on unless it’s plugged in. Can b played on after it’s unplugged but if it turns off u have to plug it back in to turn it back on

hello

i have a kindle that needs a new firmware, along the path of fixing i made a fastboot cable, pc wasn’t able to detect the device at first however, if i push the plug into the kindle, it gets recognized as tate pvt 8, which is good but when i use the adb drivers for it, i get “this device cannot start error 10”, im going to try on a fresh install of windows then linux, if the problem persists i may change the usb port

whats ur input, will this be useful and not a waste of time ??

I got a kindle fire hd like 8 years ago and i have rooted it, it got bricked (kindle requires fast boot cable to be fixed) i tried making one using my crappy soldering skills it was recognized for a bit so i manipulated the wires witg my finger it worked as i kept my finger on the wires but later it didn't i don't know what is the problem now and by all means im not an expert can u help me

On the Fire 7 HD should the switches on the screen show Orange or Grey to be on. I think it is Orange right Grey left. Thank you.
