Even when holding down the door with new batteries the camera doesn't turn on. Could something else like a contact have been broken off so the positive side of the battery can't make contact when holding battery door shut? Can the battery door be replaced?

If it dose stay on the instant you touch any of the controls it will shut down again. This may go on for three or four attempts before you can take a picture. Seems like an intermittent problem or loose connection. open for suggestions.

I tested the new batteries on the other camera that I had it and they worked. Any help would be greatly appreciated
