LeapPad Tablet: How do I change or secure my charge port in a LeapPad Academy?

The charge port in my academy is still working, it's just become so loose the cable won't remain seated even when the tablet it remaining still. I'm struggling to find anything to lead me on a repair path.

LeapFrog LeapPad 2: Leappad 2 is stuck on tuning up

Leappad 2 was syncing, but then switched off due to low battery.

Plugged in again it it is now stuck on ‘tuning up-0%’

Is there anyway you can do a reset to factory settings?

I plug the unit in and charged it for 8 hours. Nothing happened. I bought this two years ago and it worked for the first three months. I just finally got around to asking why. I wish I knew a place that I could take it to.

LeapPad3 screen is black but device is on - I tried a repair and reset with the connector software from my computer but the pad disconnects when the software starts the reset. I get a [message 41] error.

I don't know if this is the right place to ask. Apologise if it's not. I'm wondering if anybody knows where I can buy battery terminals for this unit (generics are fine if they'll fit). They are corroded badly but there's no other visible damage. I'm repairing it for my daughter's school. I appreciate any help and thanks for viewing.

Thank you both for your prompt responses. I tried cleaning the terminals first and they were really bad. The wires look ok. There was ample room for me trim and expose a fresh copper strand. Sorry if my pics don't post. I'm brand new here, super green. Thanks again.

I have no clue when this was bought but i do know i haven’t used it in over maybe 9 years. i now have a baby niece who id love to give this to. i plugged the charger in and luckily it turned on. however it doesn’t show me the profile screen or anything past the opening screen where it says “Leap Frog”. i’m in south florida so if anyone knows someone who fixes leappads or knows a way i can do it myself please let me know!

My daughters LeapPad Platinum keeps shutting itself down whilst in middle of playing a video in Leapsearch setting (with wifi turned on). Battery is well charged. Any ideas out there on what is causing this?

The microphone doesn't pick up any sound at all, and I have a sneaky suspicion my child forced a needle through the hole and destroyed it. That's what they told me they did anyway… but does anybody have any ideas on finding a part number of an equivalent I could order from an electronics supplier?
