When i switch on my magic mouse, it stated connected in my mac but the curser is not moving. Button and scroll work well. It seems like the mouse laser is not functioning. Need help.

Apple Thunderbolt Display: How can I fix my display blacking out intermittently?

I've had the Apple Thunderbolt Display for a little more than a year, and it has started to intermittently go black for a few seconds at a time. When it does, I usually lose connection to my usb devices connected through the display. If I let it go on, it blanks more and more frequently until the system kernel panics.

So far, I've tried cleaning the contacts with rubbing alcohol. This made them more visually attractive, but did not solve the problem.

Second, I tried using another macbook pro, but it had the same issue.

I've noticed that the thunderbolt connector heats up significantly when it's in use. I'm wondering if there's a heat-related issue that could be causing a broken connection in the electronics inside the connector. Any thoughts?

AirPort Time Capsule A1470: Time Capsule is overheating w/yellow flashing light

Has anyone successfully repaired a Time Capsule that's overheating all the time? The yellow light is always flashing and when I pull up AirPort Utility it says "this device may be overheating." The device does feel warm to the touch (not hot). I've called Apple and they say they can't fix it and won't replace it since it's not under warranty any longer. I'm considering cracking it open to see if cleaning out dust and whatnot might improve air circulation and fix the problem, but I'm curious if anyone else has done this before?

Apple MagSafe2 Power Adapter: Is there any known way to test Mag-Safe adapters

I’d like to be able to tell if I have a bad Mag-Safe adapter or if I need to look at the computer. I know they fail, as I have a box full of failed ones. It would be nice to tell first if my power source is working correctly. Anybody know how?

You would think there would be some type of testing software.

Magic Mouse 2: Fixing Magic Mouse 2 which stopped working on some normal surfaces

Hi,

Up until yesterday everything was fine, my Apple Magic Mouse 2 was working correctly on all surfaces.

Suddenly, the Magic mouse has stopped working on most regular surfaces and almost all fabrics (moving the mouse may move the cursor a little bit on these surfaces).

It does work on a transparent nylon, a very soft fabric (EDIT: 100% polyester) and on a leather couch and a specific part of my bare knee. (everything else like touch gestures works).

What is the reason for this? the optical sensor?

I already tried cleaning the optical sensor with a cloth, connecting it to another mac and removing the mouse preferences files with no luck.

Apple Magic Keyboard A1843: Letter E is stuck. Can be fixed? By my self?

I press the letter E and type "eeee" or take out the options of different E to choose. I already take out the key cleaned but still the same. Went to a repair at walmart and they do not work this keyboards. What should I do?

Apple Studio Display XDR: Anyone know yet if the stand can be removed and swapped to VESA?

Buying the VESA version of this monitor seems like a bad deal since it's the same price as getting it with the fancy stand. I would like to buy it with the stand so I have the stand, then switch to VESA (even if that means taking it to Apple to have it done). Anyone know yet if that is possible?

Apple Cinema Display M8149: Screen powers on and button works, but no image

My screen powers on, the power button works controlling the Mac, and the USB ports work, but there is no image on the screen. Before I disassemble this, is it a completely dead unit, or something that may be reapairable?

Apple Cinema HD Display: Large Yellow Bar Running Vertically

I purchased this display used, and I haven't had any problems with it until recently. A thick, faint yellow line has been showing up vertically through my screen. Restarting and unplugging hasn't worked. After it's been on a while, sometimes it will disappear, but lately—it's been staying all work day. Does anyone know what's causing this? Photos below!

Apple AC Adapter: Magsafe LED not illuminating when using MagSafe 1 to MagSafe 2 adapter

I currently have an Apple MagSafe 2 Charger 85W and I use it with my 2015 MacBook Pro 15. I also have an Apple MagSafe 1 Charger 85W and I want to use it with my MacBook Pro. I purchased the MagSafe 1 to MagSafe 2 adapter to use it but for some reason, the charge LED does not light up when I attach it to my computer. But for some reason, the computer reports that it is charging despite all the fields being blanked out in the system information tab. I tried switching orientations on both the MagSafe adapter and the MagSafe cable itself but that didn't seem to fix anything.

I know that the MagSafe 1 charger works as the light illuminates when I use my older 2012 MacBook Pro and 2010 MacBook Air.

Is the light supposed to illuminate when using the adapter or is my adapter defective? I tried to clean both the MagSafe 1 plug and both sides of the adapter and the MagSafe port with isopropyl alcohol but that didn't seem to fix things.

Apple Cinema HD Display: Worth it to mod CCFL to LED backlight in a 23" Cinema Display?

Hi guys, I recently got a 23" Cinema Display for dirt cheap. The image looks good but the CCFL tubes have yellowed and because of use the polarizer has damaged due to heat. Still looks good if the image is calibrated, but at some point the tubes will tap out. Has anyone attempted a CCFL to LED backlight conversion on one of these? I'd like to restore it but I'd rather not keep using CCFL tubes.

Apple Adapter: Is this a genuine Apple USB-C to USB-C charging cable?

I have recently purchased a 2m C-C "genuine" Apple cable. When plugged in, the computer was constantly chiming as if plugging in and out on a loop. I was asked to destroy the cable while the seller was sending another one. That gave me an opportunity to look inside and what I saw surprised me, to say the least. I wonder if this truly is a work of Apple or if this is just another apple factory surplus scam. No wonder poor macbooks are burning...
