Sizce problem nedir? SSD’ye 800-1000₺ arası para vermek istemiyorum.

I have a OCLP-ed 2012 MacBook Pro with macOS 15.7.8, and it would struggle to connect to the internet, or outright refuse to connect to the internet. Would this be a case of a bad cable connection to the Airport card, or is something wrong with the firmware? Or is the age of the Mac finally getting to the Software? I would appreciate as much help as anyone out there can give out. To add on, I would have to restart the MacBook in order to make it connect to the internet.

MacBook Pro 14" 2021: Backlight issue and firmware restore.

Hi everyone,

I’m dealing with a frustrating issue on my MacBook Pro M1 (2021) and could really use some advice. Here’s the problem:

• The issue: The backlight on my MacBook has gone dark multiple times now. When it happens, I can only see the display using a flashlight, so the screen isn’t entirely dead. Sometimes, after doing resets (SMC, NVRAM, etc.) or powering down and restarting, the backlight comes back on, and the MacBook works normally for a few days, but then the issue returns.

• Recent problem: This time, the issue worsened. When I power on the MacBook, it chimes as usual, and the Apple logo briefly appears on the screen before disappearing. After that, it keeps trying to boot but eventually lands on a black screen with an exclamation mark, asking me to restore the backup. The device no longer loads into the startup options even when I hold the power button for recovery mode. I’m seeing all of this using a flashlight because the backlight isn’t coming on at all.

• What I’ve tried: I attempted a DFU restore, but I got a “MacBook can’t be restored, error 2006”. I’ve also had a technician check it out, and he found a circuit shortage in the display and SSD section of the logic board, which he claims to have repaired. However, the backlight issue persists, and now it won’t boot past the exclamation mark screen.

Next steps:

The technician is now considering replacing the display to see if that resolves it. My main concern is whether it’s a display issue or if the problem lies elsewhere, possibly with the logic board or some other component. I’ve heard that issues with the backlight IC or power supply could also cause similar problems, but I’m not sure how to proceed.

My questions:

1. Has anyone experienced similar issues where the backlight randomly cuts out and comes back after resets?

2. Could this still be a logic board issue even though the technician didn’t find anything else wrong after repairing the circuit?

3. If replacing the display doesn’t fix the problem, what other components should be checked (backlight IC, cables, etc.)?

Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I’m really hoping this isn’t a permanent issue, and I’d love to hear from anyone who has dealt with this before!

Thanks in advance!

MacBook Pro 15" Touch Bar 2017: Burnt component on logic board. Repairable or dead

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for some advice on a 15-inch MacBook Pro 2017 (A1707).

The MacBook suddenly stopped working and now shows absolutely no signs of life. I stripped it down and removed the logic board for inspection. I found what appears to be a burnt component(photos attached).

The marking on the damaged component appears to be:

C21 36 N7 G

Can this component be replaced on its own, or is it more likely that something else has caused it to fail?

Is it worth sending to a repair specialist / can I do it myself or is it dead.

There has been no known liquid damage, and the rest of the board looks visually clean.

I’d really like to save the laptop if it’s economically repairable, and ideally preserve the data that’s stored on the soldered SSD.

Any advice or experience would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

MacBook Air 13" 2025: Replacing the Screen on an A3240 MacBook - Can I Buy an A3113 or A2681

As the title says, I am trying to replace the screen on my A3240 MacBook Midnight. I see that the A3113 screen from the 2024 model and the A2681 screen from the 2022 model are highly similar. The A3113 actually shares a similar resolution as the A3240. Is there any anecdotal evidence or proof that the A3113 screen (or the A2681 screen) can work properly in an A3240? I ask because the cost of an A3113 screen or A2681 screen is much cheaper than an A3240 screen right now on markets like eBay. Thank you!

MacBook Pro 16" 2021: Horizontal screen glitches after water damage and repair

So long story short, I wiped my laptop (MBP M1 16") screen with a rag and then cleaned the keyboard in the same go. I used too much liquid apparently, as the keyboard then started producing multiple keypresses and shutdown after booting.

I brought it to a repair shop which then replaced the keyboard but after I took it home, the screen started to flicker weirdly and after 10-15 minutes, went black (not totally, had a weird glassy ghost effect). The next day, the screen did work but there are weird horizontal glitches (not black though) and an area which is kinda sepia in the screen. Using the screen eg. watching Youtube seems to aggravate it.

I took it back to the shop, unsatisfied with their lack of professionalism then went to a different shop and didn't get much out of it except that the screen needs replacing and it's gonna cost a lot (1257€).

So, does anyone have any clue what's wrong with the laptop? Or if there's some way to check what's really broken—nobody has really given me proper explanations. Running diagnostics returns ADP000 (no hardware issues). What !#^&@@ me off the most in this whole debacle was the 1st repair shop's sloppiness in diagnosing the damage before handing it back to me, causing this infuriating back-and-forth.
