Minolta X-370: My camera's shutter and mirror are sticky.

My camera has had a problem where if it is fired at a shutter speed slower than 1/125th, it has a pretty good chance for the shutter curtain to pop open only about a third of the way, almost completely close, and then the mirror gets stuck up. I can fix this by pushing the shutter all the way closed, and then the mirror will slap down and the camera will work fine. The batteries are fresh and working, the foam bumper for the mirror is the original one, but with absolutely no visible wear to it at all; it's not tacky in any way. Does anyone have any ideas?

Minolta Dimage Xt: Is there any way to repair damage from overvoltage?

I have one of these cameras, and I tried testing it with the DC power plug it has on the side.
I’ve taken the boards apart from each other and carefully inspected both for any signs of scorching or heat damage. The only two chips on either board that look damaged are these two in the pic. Not sure if that’s repairable, I might have to just get a new camera.

Minolta Camera: Minolta Freedom Zoom 140EX Panorama Date not turning on

Hi,

I recently picked up a Minolta camera from an op shop, and put new batteries in (definitely the correct ones, model from the official manual(CR123A)), and it turned on and worked well, but I didn’t use it for about 3 weeks, and then it stopped turning on. When I press the power button, the display turns on for 1 second and then turns off again, although the date display is on. The lens is not opening, even though it is moving forward a tiny bit. The batteries are in the correct orientation, because they only fit one way.

Minolta Camera: *Minolta Maxxum 2800AF* Flash not turning on

I have a Maxxum 2800 AF flash I got with a Maxxum 7000 and 100-200 (1:4.5) lens. The camera worked perfectly, but the lens needed some work (AF gear was stuck, which I fixed by taking the rear lens plate off, letting it spin w/o the rear gear on the lens in the way, and coaxing it manually with a flathead) and the lens and camera have both been perfect. However, the flash has never worked. I'm not getting rid of the rest of it over a dead $15-20 flash, especially with the lens is worth as much as I got it all for. I'd rather discard the flash and keep the working lens and camera. The flash is so dead, not even the test button fired.

I have tried reseating the flash a few times, and it just does not work. I used 4 brand new AA batteries as well, so I know it is not the batteries in the flash. I also tried to clean the contacts in the flash (no corrosion, so denatured alcohol was used), and the situation did not improve. That said, while these were new batteries they are from Costco (that is to say, stockpiled) but were not expired. I did change the Jobsmart (TSC) AAA batteries I got with the camera ("batteries not included") with new ones, and neither set changes anything. The TSC batteries also tested good on my analog multimeter.
NOTE: The flash has a connector on the front that interfaces with the camera, but the cable is not required for the Maxxum 7000; it communicates solo -- I suspect it's meant for high-level communication with the vintage ones, or higher end cameras.

Is there anything I can do to verify the flash isn't dead, or is it just not worth messing with?

UPDATE

Tried brand new primary Lithium batteries, the flash is still dead.

UPDATE (3/18)

However I did notice one of my 7000's (one from a lot with a Maxxum 5/other for the lens with the flash) and the lot 7000 was not treated well in 2 ways: the mirror is pitted, and I had to clean battery acid (normal for the AAA cover due to storage neglect so I overlooked it). I'm going to relegate that suspect 7000 due to parts unavailability and see if it works on a 7000/9000 that was well used and taken care of.

UPDATE (3/19)

I opened the flash up after finding out how, and I cannot see any obvious faults on it.

Minolta X-370: Under range light stuck blinking on Minolta x-370s

Hello! I’ve had my Minolta x-370s for about a year now and it’s always been very realizable and worked no problem. Recently however an issue has cropped up where the under range (downward arrow) on the viewfinder is always flashing no matter what I do with the aperture ring. I have tried replacing the batteries and switching off of auto mode but it hasn’t changed anything. I’m worried due to this issue that the shutter speed isn’t properly adjusting to the lighting in shooting which will lead to overexposed pics (the shutter speed is really really slow currently).

Any suggestions on what could be causing this issue?

Minolta Camera: What is the approximate cost to fix the oily aperture blade defect?

I have a Minolta 35-70 f1.4, which has the oil on the aperture blade issue and this one is bad to the point I cannot effectively use it due to how bad the resistance is.

Normally this is something I would try and fix being a "common lens" I can risk breaking, but the issue is I do not have an ultrasonic cleaner which is effectively the only way to do it right unless you have tons and tons of rubbing alcohol and time. In addition with zoom lenses, you need to get it EXACTLY right or you lose the alignment.

Roughly how much should I expect a shop to charge to take this apart and fix the issue? Sadly, the 35-70 is so notably known for this I wouldn't feel comfortable using one of these on a Minolta 9 or 7 without having it done, and if I had one I'd bring it with me and tell them I don't want to chance it, and want the oil out of the aperture. I'm not even surprised, but gah this lens is a pain to open.
