When I plugged the controller into the Wii the controller read as holding down right the whole time. Reset controller w/ x,y, and start, but when I let go of the buttons it just scrolled again.

Nintendo GameCube Controller: My right bumper, when pressed, will stay activate for sometime, why?

While playing smash bros. I use a GameCube controller and when the right bumper is pressed the game will sense that the button is still being pressed and will stay in shield. This doesn’t happen to other controllers. I’m wondering if the sensors are dirty or not. Should I look into getting a new controller?

On occasion it will let you move other directions but then it will start going straight up no matter what. Are the Potentiometers in the D-pad damaged or might it be the micro chip.
Nintendo GameCube Controller: How can I repair a wobbly analog stick?

The problem with my GameCube Controller analog stick appears to come from the motherboard itself.

At default position, the analog stick will move with tilt, and between those points at which it will tilt (i.e. if I tilt it up and it goes to X, and if I tilt it up and it goes to Y, between X and Y), when I am moving the analog stick, it slides far too easily.

I have located the problem on the circuit board (the stick-like thing that connects to the analog stick isn't glued onto the two boundaries put in within the white ring inside the sensor), but I don't know how to fix it without heavy risk of either breaking the controller (spilling hot glue onto wire) or rendering the analog stick useless (gluing the stick-like thing to the white ring).

How do I fix this?

Nintendo GameCube Controller: black official gcn controller has smaller range of input on right

I recently got a used black official gcn controller, and when playing super monkey ball, I noticed I was going slower to the right than to the left. The controller adjustment screen showed that all directions EXCEPT the entire right side were fine, with the right side being off the edge of input by maybe 1/4 or 1/5 from the edge of the input rectangle. I have tried to recalibrate the controller, but to no avail. Any way to fix this without buying a new controller? Any input would help. Thanks for reading!

Nintendo GameCube Controller: Control stick snaps back hard it makes an input in the other direction

My control stick snaps back really hard, possibly because it is just loose in some way. Notably pressing down hard and releasing (flicking) it really hard can cause it to snap back beyond the dead zone and cause an up input (causing a jump in ssb melee). I tried simply switching the grey stick for another but the issue is still there so it isn’t as simple as just replacing worn out rubber. I assume the plastic stick underneath needs a repair somehow. The stick also seems to have a slight drift to the left, though I don’t notice it on the menu only when doing moves that can be b reversed and sometimes it just automatically reversed to the left, like it is stuck slightly in the left direction. I’m assuming this is the the same issue or is connected to the other issue.

Nintendo GameCube Controller: 2 Dead Controllers. Tried cleaning, need help!

I have 2 controllers I bought online. That both showed up dead, none of the buttons or sticks worked. Tried multiple ports and GameCubes that I know work with other controllers so I know its not the ports or the consoles. I went through and cleaned all the pads, buttons and the board with 91% Alc but nothing has changed. The only thing I haven’t tried is swapping the cable.

Would it be worth swapping the cable with one from a controller I know that works (I am confident in my soldering skills) or could there be another issue causing this. I could try a continuity test with my multi meter to see if there’s a break in any of the cables.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've managed to take it apart and take a look inside, and i’ve found that a part came loose and I can't quite figure out how to fix it. The gamecube controller I have is from GameStop, and a 2019 version. (It doesn't have the smash symbol on it).
