Switch Pro Controller: Battery drains after analog stick replacement

I replaced the analog sticks in my Pro Controller but now the controller drains the battery, from full to dead in just a few hours - not being used, the Switch is off, the controller is off. I've confirmed the battery does charge to full and works fine for gaming. I've switched the battery itself with another controller and confirmed that's not the issue. The controller works fine plugged in as well. It's just a matter of the battery draining quickly while not in use.

Did I mess something up when I replaced the analog sticks? Is there anything I could check or do to try to correct this issue?

Nintendo Switch 2: Controllers animate when connected, but do not seem to fully connect

I have a Switch 2 that has been fully reset. With brand new confirmed working joycons, I am not able to get past the initialisation screen.

If you connect the joycons, the sides of the screen animate correctly showing that they do connect, but never goes any further than this.

In recovery mode, the joycons do not work either. I am guessing the issue is related to bluetooth (I assume the joycons will pair on connection, and this is failing) but I cannot be sure as I can't get past the initial "connect the joy cons" screen.

The main thing throwing me off here is that the joycons appear to connect

Nintendo Switch Lite: My switch lite wont recognize button presses

So i just did a full shell mod and screen replacement on my switch lite and ever since I have these problems with the buttons,thumbsticks, and touchscreen not registering my presses and movements I replaced the ribbon cable to the right daughter board thinking it was the problem and I have seated and reseated all of the ribbon cables, put two different pairs of joysticks. And its really hit and miss as to when it does it but it wont let me do multiple presses making it to where I cant unlock my device. Does anyone have any ideas what I should do I have all the electronics repair tools needed to fix most things

Hi everyone, I replaced the battery on my Nintendo Switch, but now the console won't turn on or charge at all. I have already checked and secured the battery connection, performed a hard reset (holding power for 15+ seconds), inspected the connector pins for damage, and even tested with the old battery, but nothing works. What else should I check?

Joy-Con: My right joy-con is not being recognized as connected into the switch.

Hi, I have a problem my switch does not recognize the joy con as connected when i slide it in the switch. The joy con still works but only wirelessly. It does get charged but nothing else. I tried other joy-cons with no luck.

I ordered a new right rail from eBay. I thought the rail might be the problem . I replaced it successfully but no change. If anyone has an idea i would appreciate it.

Nintendo Switch Lite: Nintendo Switch Lite has light bleeding at the top of screen

I just bought a switch lite off of marketplace. There is a faint light outline around the border of my Switch Lite screen. The console works perfectly otherwise, and it hasn't been dropped. Is this normal for these handhelds, or is there a way to fix it without replacing the whole screen, or I just need to reseat it?

Joy-Con: Gulikit Left joy con drifts at start

Hey, all! I recently got the Guilikit TMR Joy Cons to replace my old ones. I followed the video, did both left and right, then did the calibration. They both work great, except, sometimes when launching a game, the left one will have a very slight drift to the left. If I leave it alone for about 30 seconds, it stops. If I open the calibrating menu, it shows no movement. Also, it doesn't do it every time. The stick works great, otherwise, even on the times that it does drift.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Nintendo Switch 2: two usbc ports damaged and not charging

Switch 2 with both charging ports damaged. Replaced both ports and only 2 data lines were damaged on the main bottom port. Installed new lines and they show good on tester. There were 6 total ground lines damaged. 3 on top and 3 on the bottom. Replaced both ports and both ports are getting .512 amps. System is not jumping to the next stage to charge or turn on system. Not sure where to look on these. I don't see anything like a M92/P13/BQ or caps that test/look bad. Has anyone else had anything similar that was obvious? Much thanks for any guidance.

I bought a replacement joystick because I was having bad drift, followed the instructions and opened everything up only to find that the casings for the screws holding the joystick are completely snapped. What do I do now? Is there a way to re attach? I don’t want to buy a new switch

Hey! I don't know if this is the right platform to ask, but.

Does anyone has the bottom rail for the red mario edition switch oled? Or can i request the part on a site like this, or elsewhere?

Bought a mint switch oled mario for a cheap price. The only thing what is wrong, is the bottom rail molten. Finding this piece is easier said than done. Thanks!

the screen got dimmer after opening it up trying to replace the buttons and something smoked up when trying to disconnect the cable near the fan with a metal tweezers(I know it is a dumb decision to usu a metal one)

I'm the author of the 'Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Con Action Buttons (ABXY) Replacement' guide. Currently, the guide suggests removing the battery to access the membranes. However, I believe it might be easier to remove the motherboard instead to get to them.

Has anyone tried this method? If so, are there any specific pitfalls I should watch out for? Also, are there existing guides I can use as prerequisites for removing the motherboard or midframe to make the process smoother for users? I want to make sure the guide is as efficient as possible while still being safe.

Nintendo Switch: Missing SMD component near Joy-Con rail FPC connector

Hi everyone,

I recently successfully replaced the M92T36 IC on a Nintendo Switch motherboard using a hot air station. The console now boots up and charges normally. However, I am now facing an issue with the Right Joy-Con.

When I slide the right Joy-Con into the rail, the console does not detect it as attached (it stays on wireless mode). I opened up the console again to inspect the area and noticed that the ribbon cable and the FPC connector look perfectly fine.

However, upon closer inspection of the small SMD component cluster right next to the FPC connectors, I noticed that one SMD component at the very bottom of the row is completely missing (likely blown away or knocked off accidentally during my hot air rework of the M92T36).

I have attached a micro photo of my board showing the missing component's empty pads, alongside some reference screenshots from the iFixit teardown guide for comparison.

My questions are:

1. Is this missing component a resistor (in-series) or a filter/bypass capacitor (to GND)?

2. What is the exact value/specification of this missing component (looks like a 0402 package)?

3. If it is a resistor on a data/detection line, can I safely bridge the pads with solder or a jumper wire to restore the detection functionality?

I have a multimeter, soldering iron, and hot air station ready to fix this. Any guidance or schematic insights would be greatly appreciated!

Nintendo Switch 2 has IC chip fried, need a replacement, Ive found out the type of chip theyre using CP10359at, and at other website its identified as cypd6228-96bzxi,,would this be a correct replacement to have it repaired? Can I buy CP10359at chip here?

Currently the Switch is not charging and battery has died.

Joy-Con: Stripped back panel screw on Joy-Con - rubber band and foil didn't work

I am trying to replace the joystick in my Joy-Con using the iFixit guide, but I am stuck on the very first step. One of the four Tri-point Y00 back panel screws is stripped. I've already tried the rubber band trick and using aluminum foil, but both just puncture because the screwdriver is so sharp and pointy.

What are some other ways to remove such a small, recessed, and stripped Tri-point screw without damaging the plastic shell? I don't want to drill it out if I can avoid it. Any advice from people who have dealt with this specific Joy-Con issue would be appreciated!

Joy-Con: Joy Con still drifts just after replacement

I had a really bad up/left drift problem on my left joycon, so I ordered the repair kit and followed the guide. After replacing the stick it now has a slight downward drift problem, noticeable in calibration and while playing a game (tested game was Animal Crossing New Horizons, the character would slowly move downward when the stick was not being touched)

Nintendo Switch 2: Right side joycon port no longer detecting joycons.

I did a shell swap on my switch 2. It wasn’t difficult and I didn’t poke around more than taking the back plate off and replacing it with the new one. After powering my switch 2 back on, the right joycon port on the console itself doesn’t register either joycon. The left side works completely normally with both joycons. I purchased and replaced the right side connector following the guide on this website. Still no dice. I’ve cleaned the ports on both the joycon and the console. I’ve done everything including a factory wipe of the console to rule out any software issues. I cannot figure out what is causing this.
