Nintendo Switch Lite: Card reader replaced but still not reading cartridges

Update

There certainly is a pin missing.

This problem may have begun with a bent pin, but at some point I must have knocked it loose because there definitely is one missing. See photo below:

Note: This problem is new, the Switch was new and worked for quite some time and no there where no obvious moments of dropping or damage after which it suddenly had this issue.

I began getting the error with the stock card reader on this Nintendo Switch Lite:

The game card could not be read.

Please remove and reinsert it.

If this message appears repeatedly, please check the following page on your smart device or PC.

support.nintendo.com/switch/gamecarderror

1) Oddly enough, the Rayman Legends cartridge still works, just fine. But it is the only game cartridge that does.
2) None of the other cartridges work on this Switch Lite.

3) All other cartridges work on other Switch Lites and our Docked Switch.

4) Downloaded games still work.

So I ordered a replacement card reader and just installed it. No change. The issue persisted.

But I noticed during the processes that the original card reader ribbon was notched by some sort of pressure from the mount. I've included a picture.

I installed the new card reader, connected the ribbon, and then took it back out. There's a slight impression, hardly noticeable in the new one.

I used a magnifying glass to observe the port, there is no obvious damage or debris, though there is a gap in one of the nodes (picture included) but I am not learned enough to know if that is a defect or abnormality to begin with.

I'm curious if anyone has replicated this issue or heard of what might be the problem on the Switch side. I doubt the brand new card reader would have the same problem (bought it straight from ifixit).

Nintendo Switch Lite: Switch Lite screen still not working after a replacement

I have a Switch Lite with a dead screen. It powers on and you can hear sound effects when pressing the D-pad, so it appears to be only the screen that’s broken (no sign of life on screen). Digitizer works fine (i can run my finger along the screen and it makes scrolling noises).

Tried dismantling it and reseating the screen zif, but still no luck.

Bought replacement screen and did a clean swap following the iFixit guide, but issue persists (everything is still working except for dead screen, so i don’t think i screwed anything up)

Does anyone know if i have to buy a specific type of replacement screen, or is there anything else i could try?

Thanks in advance,

Nintendo Switch Lite: The console wakes up as soon as it gets into sleep mode

Greetings,

I recently received a switch lite that supposedly didn't boot.

Everything seems fine, no software update required, the buttons are okay, the touchscreen is responsive.

The switch seems to be charging correctly, I don't see the "Charging icon" going in and out.

Apparently, the console can go into sleep mode at random while playing.

It also wakes up after a few seconds each time it gets into sleep mode.

The battery seems fine too: Good size, depletes at a normal rate.

The USB-C port doesn't seem damaged.

The motherboard is clean.

I have tried removing and reinserting the battery / power naps, but it didn't change anything.

Do you have any idea about what could cause this problem ?

I have a multimeter, but don't quite know how to use it.

I can also solder if needed.

Thank you for your time.

Nintendo Switch Lite: Switch lite won’t stay in sleep mode

switch lite was stuck at logo screen, reflowed the Wi-Fi IC and it worked fine at first. I noticed that when I press the power button, it would go into sleep mode for about 3 seconds and then turn back on.
Nintendo Switch Lite: Capacitor Values of Tegra X1

Hello Everyone,

for fun and to learn a bit more about micro soldering, I bought a broken Nintendo Switch Lite on eBay.

After dissembling it, I noticed that two capacitors on the Tegra X1 CPU Chip, are broken.

the caps I am talking about are visible in this screenshot circled in red

here is a picture which shows the position in total

based on the description on eBay the person tried to install an SX Lite Mod and after the console fell down, it did not work anymore, so they removed the SX Lite again.

From what I can see, the console overall looks okay, the battery voltage is a bit low, but I assume because of the faulty CPU, Power Management is not working at all, so I wanted to first replace the two broken capacitors to check if that might fixes it.

Could anyone tell me what the values of these capacitors are, so I can order replacements?

Thanks in advance.
