Zebra LP-2824: Printing blank labels in the middle of a print job?

When printing 2x2.25 labels, our printer will randomly spit out blank labels in between printed ones. It's becoming both wasteful and irritating. My theory is that the printer is printing out a morse code message and that it's trying to tell us something. Any ideas?

work force pro printer 4630: Problem downgrading the firmware of an Epson WF-7840

Good morning everyone,

I've had the bad idea to upgrade the firmware of our Epson WF-7840 (version CD17M6 now).

Now, our non epson cartridges are not recognised anymore.

I've search the web about how to downgrade the firmware. I found the procedure, found how to put the printer in "recovery mode" and, on the Epson website, I found the "Recovery Mode Firmware version CB08LC" for the Epson WF-7840.

But it doesn't work...

First problem, the model of the printer does not appear in the "Epson firmware updater" but it sees that a printer is connected.

Second problem, and it is where it stops, when I launch the Update, it fails with a message on the printer's screen "Data file not found".

I tried with my mac (macbook pro 16" m1 max) and with an older macbook pro from 2009 with the same result. I tried with another USB cable and still no luck.

What am I doing wrong?

Samsung Printer C410W: printer light is on but printer won't warm up

Hello My printer is a samsung c410w laser color printer the printer power button gets on but don't hear the normal printer warming up stage the printer can ony be turned off by pulling the power cord of the back shut it down again, cartridges are new and the drum unit seems ok and the fuser and the belt as well.

I have been developing near perfect photos with my printer for quite a while now, however in recent times all photos has a yellow cast, whites look pale yellow, dark blues are now light blue with a yellow cast. when viewed on the monitor of the computer the picture are great but when printed yellow cast all over. I have been refilling my ink cartridge with bulk ink for quite some time now and have been using the same cartridge for the duration.Please help me solve this yellow cast problem.

Epson WF-2540: My ADF is not picking up the paper.

I have an Epson WF-2540 printer with an ADF. I have recently been experiencing problems with the ADF since it is not picking up the documents on the feeder. A message appears on the screen telling me to place the document on the glass scanning top. I purchased this in the first place because I work for a Solicitor and I often have to photo copy lots of legal documents. Photocopying documents singly takes too much time. Can anyone help me. I have contacted Epson but they told me to take it to an Express Epson centre and the nearest one to me is in Bethnal Green London E2 which is too far away for me to travel. I would appreciate any help that anyone can give. I would add that I have checked the device to see if there is any jammed paper but it is free and I cannot see why it is not picking up.

Dell Printer: How to clear paper jam behind fuser in Dell Printer 1355cn?

I have a Dell 1355cnw color laser printer which worked great until I tried printing on photo paper one day. The paper jammed and a piece of it ripped and (I think) is lodged behind the fuser. LCD shows error code 077-900. I have checked support.dell.com and various blogs and it seems like I'm not alone. Tried removing the six screws from the back and that doesn't work. Only one person said that they had success going in from the front of the printer, but no reply on how he did it. Cannot find a service manual and Dell support hasn't been much help. Also, can't find a Dell walk-in service center in the area.

Any thoughts?

Setup my Epson WF-3620 all-in-one printer wireless yesterday due to an xfinity router change. The unit prints wireless and the printer USB port connects to my laptop wireless. I cannot get the scanner to communicate with my laptop. My laptop has Windows 10 64-bit. Any suggestions?

I bought this printer last year and never touched it or took it out of the box until now. The printer is brand new. I set up the internet connection without any problem. However, I started printing and all of a sudden, the printer turned off by itself. I tried turning it back on but would not turn on. I even tried changing plugs to see if the plug is the problem. What can I do to fix this printer?

I installed a new HP 564 black ink cartridge, and nothing black printed. I ran the "clean print head" program, and the colors print brilliantly, but still no black. I put in a second new cartridge, still nothing, It printed fine yesterday, albeit a little dim.

HP Officejet Pro 8620: Printhead appears to be missing not detected or incorrectly installed

I’ve read through most of the other threads on the internet about this problem, but I’m still creating this one both for documentation purposes, and in case someone has a solution that I’ve not thought of! Text in bold are considered important for the troubleshooting.

I bought the HP OfficeJet Pro 8620 printer in 2015 and up until december 2019 it has worked perfectly. One day out of the blue, I recieved this error message: “The printhead appears to be missing, not detected, or incorrectly installed. Error code 0xc19a0023" . I reseated the printhead one time and the printer worked until next day, when the same error appeared. I followed HP’s troubleshooting steps 1. reset printer 2. reseat printhead 3 times 3. updating firmware, but no luck. I’ve disassembled the printhead and cleaned the contacts on PC board. I ordered this cleaning solution and cleaned the printhead, both soaking in the solution for some time and pushing the solution through. No luck. I then went on to buy this new print head from eBay, but the new one instantly gave the same error message.

Then I continued to troubleshoot some more. Since the new printhead failed I thought maybe the problem is in the printhead carriage inside the printer. I disassembled it and cleaned the contacts on the PC board. (This one is also possible to buy on aliexpress , but I’ve not done it). Everything looks ok. All the pins are undamaged. I’ve reset the CMOS battery on the main board, disconnected all cables and checked the cables specificly for the printhead carriage. I don’t have the equipment or knowledge to test if the cables actually work, but everything looks ok. Still getting the error message.

One last thing that I came by today on this page is that it might be the unoriginal ink that I installed for the first time last time I replaced my cartridges (about 3 months ago, I switched the last color from original HP to unoriginal). Could it really be the problem? Is it still worth a try to buy new original HP cartridges and will it even fix the problem? Or is the damage done already and not reversable? I’m a bit hesitant to invest more on this printer since I already blew up 72 EUR for the printhead…. Returning the printhead to China from where I live costs almost 40 EUR so it’s not worth the refund.

EDIT: I found an official statement from HP about a new firmware update removing Dynamic Security Feature which makes the printer fail when unoriginal ink is installed. However they explicitly say it’s only connected to a cartridge error message. Other error messages are not related. So in theory I’ve already solved this issue, when I updated my printer to the newest firmware early in the troubleshooting process. Both printheads give the same error message. This decreses my belief in buying new original ink to fix the problem…

EDIT 2: I found the old original HP empty cartridges I had before and installed them just to see if it would remove the error, but it didn’t. So now I don’t have to waste money on buying new ink at least…
