Tea Kettle: Why does my OXO On Adjustable Temperature Pour-over kettle shut off?

I have an OXO On Adjustable Temperature Pour-over kettle that shuts off partially through the water heating process. This has been an intermittent problem, but now happens consistently.

After setting the temperature using the dial and pressing the button to start heating, the water begins heating. At some point, the temperature display and the "---" display flash on and off, but the heating continues. Finally, the device shuts off.

I've tried these steps:

Descaling the kettle
Checking continuity on the connector between the kettle and base
Checked for discoloration or distortion of contacts like in this video: OXO Coffee Maker Repair.

Would anybody know where to find electric parts for the KitchenAid Kettle 5KEK1522EAC. It is a nice 1.5L kettle with the option to regulate the final water temperature. This temperature regulator is the part that over time got water and rost and I am looking for a replacement part.

Following the death of my old british highlander kettle, lasted well over 30 years, I decided to buy a temperature controlled kettle, pretty useful for making teas that require different steeping temperatures.

It's a nice and not too expensive item, well designed as water is in touch with stainless steel only and it's powered by 1.8Kw that makes it fast enough for heating, but not too excessive.

However, I noticed an odd behavior that makes me wonder about its engineering. Whenever it's about to reach programmed temperature, whether boiling at 100Cº or a much lower 70Cº, it makes lights in the house flicker for the last some 10/15 seconds. No problems until it reaches about scheduled temperature, thus it wouldn't seem related to power itself.

House is properly electrically fit with fairly new cabling, grounding is redundant, the old kettle that was more powerful and other electrical power greedy appliances such as ovens never causes/d such an issue.

I can stand 15" lights flickering with no problem, but I wonder what the issue may be and if it might cause distress or damage to other electrical appliances one way or the other.

Tea Kettle: Why my cordless kettles stop creating contact after 1-2 years

I have had various models of cordless kettles over the years and they all seem to fail to make electrical contact with their base plate sometime in the 12-24 month range. For a period of time I am able to turn the kettle left or right and create a contact, but this becomes more intermittent over the space of a month or two until it stops working at all. As far as I can tell, both the controls and the heating elements are still functioning correctly - it is just that the contact between kettle and base fails. I have tried using emery paper to shine the contact points but neither kettle or base plate looks corroded. Current and past model giving problems are Breville variable temp models

The "press switch" on my glass Aroma electric tea kettle has broken off. I can push it back in and use the kettle, but it keeps falling off. Oster Digital Electric Kettle BVST-EK5967: The water does not heat up

The Thermal Cutoff Fuse has an impedance of 0.4 KOhm. I believe this is OK, but please correct me if I am wrong. When plugged in the blue light does come on the kettle, but the water does not heat up. Do you have any ideas on where else the problem might be? Thanks in advance.

I purchased a Fellows Stag kettle at a local thrift. The kettle won't heat. I have checked continuity across the fuse and it is good. However, there is no continuity across the heating element. Can that be replaced? If so, where can I acquire a new heating coil?

Fellow Stagg EKG Electric Kettle: Thermostat decreases by a few degrees every few seconds

A while back my kettle was scaled over pretty badly and as a result ended up boiling over several times. I set it to dry it with some desiccant packs, but since then, every time I turn it on, the thermostat readout starts ticking down from whatever my desired temperature by a few degrees every few seconds.

For example, if I turn the kettle on with cold water and set the temperature to 100 degrees Celsius, after about a minute, The set temperature readout (not the reported thermometer reading) willbe down to 90 degrees Celsius. So if I want boiling water, I have to keep turning the knob to the right.

What could be the problem here and how might I go about fixing it?

I've de-scaled the kettle several times since this problem started, and it makes no difference.

The problem seems to be with either the control knob or the thermostat

Tea Kettle: Why my Saki Gooseneck kettle is not heating up?

Hi people 😊 hope I will get some answer here as I don’t want my kettle to end up in the land-field.

My Saki Gooseneck kettle stoped heating up. The base is working, showing the temperature settings and sensing that the kettle is on, but it doesn’t start to heat up the water. I tried to find the answer everywhere but i couldn’t find any threads with this particular kettle.

I hope someone can help me here 😊 as I read what could be the reason a lot of people suggesting thermal fuse.

I’ve opened the bottom bit of the kettle and I’m not sure where I can find it ?

I will try to send photos.

The kettle is temperature adjustable one.

kettle Schott Duran Tower T10021: How can I obtain a spare thermostatic cut our switch.

My T10021 kettle still boils water but the cut out switch will not work. Tower housewares will not tell me the part number or how to obtain a spare switch.

Can you advise me if it is possible to id the part number and where to try and obtain a spare switch?

Tea Kettle: Electric Kettle safety microswitch

Many kettles have a microswitch which needs to be depressed by the kettle being in place before the element gets power. (This is true for many makes). Often we get broken microswitches and they seem to be embedded in the mechanical trip/on/off switch in the base of the kettle - no chance of fixing the microswitch and apparently no way of obtaining a replacement mechanism. Do other repairers have the same problem?

My electric kettle stopped heating. All of its buttons still lit up easily, yet didn’t heat. I thought I could take it apart to fix it, but nothing looks obviously wrong to me. If anyone has experience and sees anything that could be replaced please let me know. Thanks!
