I put in a new starter solenoid, and ignition key. I tried jumping the two wires from the solenoid to the ignition and no luck. I checked the safety switches and the three look ok. I bench tested the solenoid and when I put power to it it clicks.

1) how do I bypass the safety switches completely, not zip tie them. 2)Are they breaking a circuit or completing one?

Again when I jump the solonid it turns over just not with the key… help

Have a JD Z465 with briggs 27hp. Forgot to shut fuel off after cutting grass last time. Went to start it, had to choke it, bluish smoke came billowing out the exhaust. Checked the oil and it was full of gas. Drained the oil, flushed with clean oil, new filter, new oil, still blowing bluis smoke like crazy. Is the engine ruined?

John Deere Tractor: John Deere GX335 deck height adjuster doesnt work

The knob turns freely but doesnt adjust. The knob is not broken, its not the style on youtube where the plastic breaks. I can turn the knob but the adjuster underneath does not turn. I can turn the adjuster underneath by hand. Not sure even how to get to it to repair it when i do find the cause, there are a lot of pulleys and such in the way. Any help is appreciated.

Craftsman Tractor: Ignition switch loses power when turned on

I have a Craftsman T210, model 13boa1zs093. I need the wiring schematic for it. The R/W battery wire has power with key off, but drops to 0 volts in all other key positions. I disconnected the ignition switch and jumped B+ to it. With the key on, power remained, so I jumped all other circuits. Only circuit A1 (white wire) caused loss of B+ at ignition switch. I disconnected the main connector for the stator, rectifier, and some relay but it had no effect. Disconnecting the headlights allowed 1 volt B+. Can anyone provide me with the actual wiring diagram/schematic for this model?

John Deere 870: Lift will not go down.

Lift is stuck. In raised position. Oil level is fine. Shaft from lifting lever ( right side) to linkage control lever ( left side) seems to be working ( not broken, connected properly, etc.) Many loose and chewed or cutwires. PTO works fine. Any ideas?

I own a Massey 1540 and when I turn on my pto it kicks out the mechanical engagement lever. I checked the seat switch and pto switch and both appear to be working.

Tractor: Mower won’t start after complete engine rebuild

Ok, this is going to be lengthy. I have completely rebuilt my Briggs and Stratton model 31C707-0026-G. It all started with a broken piston Rod arm. I figured while I was rebuilding and the engine was old I replaced multiple parts. (Cam shaft, cam shaft timing gear, tappet valves, all gaskets) I just put everything back together, started it up with out the spark plug, turned the ignition key and the flywheel spins freely. Put the spark plug in, tried to turn it over and the fly wheel doesn’t want to turn. There is a lot of resistance. The flywheel just doesn’t want to turn. I did a little research and found that it could be a valve issue. I have a Briggs and Stratton service manual and adjusted the rocker valves to the required specs. Put the valve cover back on, cranked it over and had the same results. I now have back firing out of the carb and exhaust. It’s also very hard to turn over to the point where my starter was smoking, no issues with the battery and the starter is fine. After adjusting the valves, the flywheel will spin much better when I have the throttle cable to the lowest setting. When it’s at max, flywheel barely turns. I am suspecting that something is messed up with the timing in the cam shaft even though I lined the marks up. Does anyone have any suggestions?
