Uniden Phone: Why two types of headsets has loud constant static?

Hi everyone, I bought a basic Uniden landline today and a Plantronics headset both from officeworks. Phone plugged in to modem router into phone port.

Phone works great. Clear sound.

When I plug the headset into the phone (unplug handset and connect it to headset) I get major static. I took the headset back, got the next level Plantronics headset. Got home same problem.

7 hours of life so far... Any ideas?

Hi uniden 8155+1 . It does not record messages. I think I have touched the wrong button and being a old person the manual is not making sense. Help please.

Uniden Dect 6.0: How do I turn off call waiting. It makes high pitched noise in my ear.

My phone provider does not supply call waiting, so I know it is the uniden 6.0 that is at fault. When I am on the Land line and another call comes in, It screams in my ears then rings.

I would like to stop switching second call to message bank while we answer the first call

I would like to show the line busy sounds when second person calls in

I would like to keep line busy for the second caller.

This function answering the second call through message bank is uniden phone or from Telstra provider?

If change phone it would fix the problem?

Checked base phone on 2nd base and not charging. Could it be the base? How do I check or where can I get another one.

I recently purchased a Uniden XDECT SSE45 SERIES portable phone to replace the old Uniden. I am connected to the router in my house as I am on the NBN broad band system. Everything worked well for a week then when I make an international call to certain countries the person on the receiving line can’t hear me but I can hear them perfectly. What do I need to do

Uniden Dect 6.0: Cordless extension screen gone blank, factory reset doesn't work

Uniden Dect. 6.0 - I have base and 6 cordless extensions, on one extension the screen has gone blank, although the phone works - has dial tone, can make calls, etc. Uniden support says try factory reset, I followed instructions, (disconnect battery, press * and #, reconnect battery) didn’t work. When informed of that, they say they no longer make phones, cannot help any more…. I don’t want to have to buy a whole new system to replace that one extension. Can I try something else to fix the screen on the one extension?

Uniden Phone: Handset doesn't charge battery or work

On returning from holiday the handset and charge base were on the floor having been knocked over by cleaners.

The handset doesn’t charge on the original base or any of the other 2 bases I have. The battery works normally however, in the other 2 handsets.

I have also tried tried my other 2 batteries in the dead handset with no result.

In summary all three batteries are in working order but none of them can operate the dead handset.

Is repair needed and/or possible?
