Volvo XC90 SUV - 2000-2009: Volvo XC90 2.5T Will Not Crank, Starter, Relay, Fuses All Good?

All of a sudden with no warning stopped and would not crank, no immobilizer activated, just won't crank, had to have towed home, checked starter, jumping pin 87 to 30 cranked starter, so it is not starter, swapped starter relay, checked all fuses with meter, pulled halo to check connections, pulled apart ignition and sprayed electronic cleaner on contacts and connections, nothing has helped. Any suggestions on how to resolve this mystery.

1993-1997 Volvo 850: Not Getting Fuel to Cylinders HELP!

So I'm trying to fix up a 1993 Volvo 850. It wasn't starting and I was doing several things to figure out why. I tested spark and I'm fine in that aspect. I decided next to check to see if fuel was reaching my engine. I heard the hum of my fuel pump and also checked the fuel pressure by sticking something into the valve after I tried cranking it. Fuel shot out of the valve so I'm confident I have fuel pressure. Next I took out the spark plugs to see if fuel was actually reaching the cylinders. However, when my friend started cranking I didn't see any sign of fuel entering any of the pistons. I was told I would be able to see the fuel shooting inside. Is that true? If so, what do you think the problem is, are my fuel injectors bad? If anybody knows any other problems that could be the case PLEASE let me know. This is driving me crazy.

I bought this car and the computer module was bypassed. The Volvo dealer wants to reinstall a new one. The car ran fine with the bypass. What would happen if I didn't replace it?

1993-1997 Volvo 850: Ignition Coil No Spark. Replace Contact Breaker?

So, I replaced the ignition coil to my 1993 volvo 850 because I wasn't getting any spark coming out of the coil. However, after I installed the new coil I was still getting no spark. I read up on it and multiple people told me that this is likely due to the contact breaker not being able to break the circuit which causes the high voltage output from the coil. I could not find any manual for the volvo that tells me how I would go about replacing this. Does anybody know how I would go about doing this or if this is even the issue? Would very much appreciate a reply. Thanks

Currently, my parking break slows the roll of my car when I am in neutral. I need the majority of the stress to be on the break and not the transmission and my break is just not doing its job. It pulls all the way up and supplies little braking, if any. Is there a way to remedy this without taking wheels off?

2003 Volvo S80 2.9 Liter

Car squeels real load after warming up. It never runs hot according to the temp gauge but engine feels overheated. Uses a lot of water but doesn't smoke. If I leave it started, sounds like I'm pressing on gas. It seems to drive okay but check engine light is on. It doesn't seem like the fan kicks on and off correctly. I fill with water now instead of antifreeze at least 3 times in 2 days. Recently it just stopped needing filled completely. I'm afraid of cracking the head or worse. What could the problem be?

refrigerant seems to be full but air blows hot. I was parking my car and air was cold then all of a sudden there was a poof sound and air became really hot in an instant

i have a 1995 Volvo 850 series, 2.4 non turbo. My fan is not running either, the relay block has two yellow connetors in the middle, I know these are what control the low and high fan speed. fan test ok for running but when I ground jump the two center relay connectors for the fan speed the fan will not run, acts like there is no power getting to the relay block. thanks, Ken

Please note, I'm not car savvy, including lingo, nor can I really fix stuff myself when it comes to cars. So keep that in mind!

2008 Volvo S40 with 219,816 miles. Beginning in 07/2020, I began having a check engine light come on and off that was identified to be code P0420. In 03/2021, I finally got it fixed when my local mechanic replaced our catalytic converter. Looking at that invoice, they also replaced the exhaust gasket, upstream and downstream oxygen sensors and replaced spark plugs.

Fast forward to now. On 2/10/23, my wife mentioned our check engine light came on and it's still on as of this message. This past 2/14/23, I took it to Autozone to get the code read and he said it showed code P0420. The rep there asked if we got gas recently and I told him yes, my wife got it the previous day on 2/9/23. He recommended simply changing out the gas cap to fix the problem. This is interesting to me because all that time from 7/2020 - 03/2021 when I finally replaced the CAT, I had always suspected and wondered if it was simply a gas cap issue. But I read information online with others shooting this idea down and say it would show a different code for that, etc. Is this simply an easy fix with the gas cap since we just replaced the CAT, etc. just two years ago? But even if it is just the gas cap, did I replace the CAT, etc. for no reason at all? My wife has mentioned the car doesn't feel any different driving since the light came on, from the best she can tell.

If this has nothing to do with the gas cap, I'm so lost and have no idea how to fix this problem. So confused and frustrated.
