American Era Electric Rice Cooker: not receiving the current of cooking rice

While turning power on, I am only recieving current for warming the utensils, while not receiving current in the cooking section of rice. While I am turning the switch on and off, the current still remains with warming section only nor with cooking section.

So I just had this argument with my boyfriend's older brother. He is about 30 years old super lazy and really dirty. And today I come in too see a slow cooker on top of the stove on right next to the burner. So I looked at my boyfriend and said well that's not safe.. as usual he gets right defensive and says it's not going to melt… our stovetop is old the burners get extremely hot even after leaving them for a while and he has the slow cooker cord 2 inches from the burner… now I usually don't cook often but I clearly use my bloody head…. Would the cords not catch fire and spark and probably start a fire or am I crazy?

Hi everyone,

I am a newbie to electronics here. I have just recently bought a japanese rice cooker brand from e-Bay. I didnt check the rice cooker voltage. Long story short, when i plugged in my rice-cooker it starts blowing some smoke from under the rice cooker. The voltage for the rice cooker should be 100V but the voltage i used was 220V. I was just wondering if there is any possible fix to this ? As in what to replace or what need to be checked?

I have a Gourmia GSV130, and throughout a night-time cook it's making a shuddering noise every few seconds or sometimes continuously. It sounds like there's something wrong with the motor, and it's not for lack of water!

Crock-Pot Express Crock Multi-Cooker: Rival 3745 bad heating element.

I have a rival 3745 crock pot that has a bad element. The elements are resistive wire that is attached to the aluminum base and secured by a spring to hold it secure. The braiding around the wire deteriorated exposing the heating element inside. If I can find some generic heating wire I can take it from there and figure out the proper length i.e. resistance, calculating the wattage, etc. Thanks for your response.

I used the crockpot on slowcooker and the lid is completely stuck. When turning clockwise to open it only moves by 1 cm.

Aroma 2022 > model ARC 1030SB, I kept having bad horrible burnt smell so I decided to disassemble to figure out what was going on. I found that the hot plate had burnt waste under it and in the inner bowl like very bad. So I clean it and now well, try my best to put it back. But can’t seem to remember the way the wires r suppose to be. I tried to put the wires how I thought they should go, but when I go plug it in, and press; a cook button it turns off. So struck in this part. Help! Other rice pot old YouTube videos haven’t not help whatsoever. And can’t seem to figure out where (heat) wire should go. Cause there also ACN & ACL (the ACL is connect w the power plug. Like in which order am I supposed to put the wires that go screw in, on the hot plate. Cause the black one by its self that reads (Heat), blue wire that is by its self and reads ACN. Finally the red wire attached with the, plug in and it switches out to black wire w a white cushion on it reads ACL. So in which order should I put these?? Help?? And I been trying to upload pictures but system won’t let me.
