iPad 7: On startup apple logo and turns off --loop!

Good morning,

I had my ipad 7th with broken glass, I had it repaired by a no apple technician, and after the replacement it had the ghost touch defect, after which I reported it to him and solved the problem by installing the virtual home button . Everything worked fine even though the physical home button didn't work. After the first update the iPad does not start anymore, the apple logo appears and turns off and continues like this until the battery runs out. Has this defect happened to anyone? At this point I was curious to disassemble it and to my enormous surprise I saw that the fixing screws of the LCD and the glass connector cover shield were missing. Since the physical home button is out of order and itunes can't see the ipad does anyone know how to put it in DFU mode, or how to restore it?

iPad 7: iPad 7 LCD Screen Digitizer - Protective cover for Inside?

I am working on replacing an iPad 7 screen using iPad 7/8 Screen Digitizer

The problem is the cables were taped inside, but I see no protective cover on the inside glass. This left residue that is quite difficult to clean. I only see two protective strips, one at the top and one at the bottom that are big enough to cover the borders for the home button and camera.

There are blatant red tabs to remove the protective cover on the front of the glass and the two inside pieces at the top and bottom. Am I missing something or is this how the part comes?

Got the same issue

I replaced the battery but still getting the TG0B error. The battery level is fluctuating as well. I checked the capacitor C8923 and I got diode resistanc f .883 not sure if this is too high. FL8900 is good as well. What Iam not sure is the Q8900 which for BATT_SWI_FL.

The C8922 which is for BATT_NTC is ok as well it go straight to PMU chip. I tried to jump a wire from the battery terminal directly to batt_ntc n C8922 in case the connection going to the battery is loose but still getting TG0B ... This issue is a pain.

iPad 7: I think im cooked.. Pulled charging port/cable on Ipad7, is it ruined?

My daughters Ipad randomly stopped turning on. She tells me it wasnt dropped, and no water damage. I dont see any obvious signs of physical damage, or water damage. I took the Ipad apart, and tried just replacing the battery, same thing, wont turn on. It is connected to a computer when I let it charge and attempt to turn on, and i can confirm the unit is not powering up, it is not just a screen issue. I pulled the charging port today, and I didnt educate myself before I did. I carefully pulled things apart, but just pulled the charging port cable off the motherboard. See pictures, is this now trashed?

iPad 7 Wi-Fi: PPVCC_MAIN Interesting Diode Value

Hello one of my customers brought me an ipad 7 and it is not turning on. When I checked it under the thermal camera saw that big power is getting hot on power supply connected to the battery legs and then sarted measuring PPVCC_Main diode value first and found out that it is around 0.170 and I know that it must be around 0.360 .

Because of this first changed the big power as I thought it is getting hot when I plugged it to the power supply without trigger. Nothing changed then I tried changing U2 and nothing changed with it also. And still same diode value on PPVCC_MAIN line.

What can cause this problem and how can I sort this out?

Will be much appreciated if you can show me a way to sort this out.

Basically i decided to revive my 7th gen ipad from the dead, everything worked fine till it went in a boot loop

I tried using itunes on my pc which didnt work, then i used 3utools to flash it but couldnt go past 19 percent, then randomly it revived and i was so glad

But when i go to the control centre it doesnt say the percentage, so i go to the settings and the battery percentage was enabled

Bare in mind the ipads in charge but doesnt say it is

A while after using it it shut down saying the charge finished, i know the charger i used worked so i recharged the ipad and it turned on but after a while it turned off again

My problem is not the boot loop but rather the fact that when its out of power it charges but when its on it cant charge

I bought the ipad in 2020 its been around exactly 4 years

iPad 7: iPad 7 only pulling 0.48 AMPS after a lot of repairs

So the iPad came in a while ago only pulling 0.48amps.

The charging port and Power IC were changed, and the iPad was working perfectly too, pulling 1.5 amps - 2amps. Then 3 days after the customer picked it up it was back at 0.48amps.

Weird .... Anyway a new battery this time fixed it. Pulling amazing amps and everything. The customer picks it up but comes back 2 days later, and the same thing happens, back to 0.48 amps.

iPad 7 Wi-Fi: ¿Why my ipad7 is not turning on?

I come here searching for information and help to repair my wife's IPAD 7 WIFI-2019, model A2197. Iam not expert in phone repair, but i want to learn, so i am reading and searching information.

I sent the ipad to a techincal service, but they did not repair it, so i am trying to fix it. The problem is the IPAD is not booting and no turn on.

This is what i found until this moment:

1) with battery connected, the current draw from the power supply is about 450mA from the charging port.

2) no short circuit in lines VCC_MAIN, VCC_BATT.

3) with the power supply, or with the battery, the 3.7V of VCC_MAIN and 1V8_ALWAYS are generated without problem.

4) the current draw from the power supply, without battery, is about 26mA from the charging port.

5) i haven't the diode mesurements of the main lines if power, so i dont known if i have a fuge in VCC_main or other line of principal power.

6) i dont know what other test or action i have to do to diagnostic the fault.

I'll appreciate so much your help.

iPad 7 Wi-Fi: Boots to recovery can't restore

Hello all, I have a iPad 7th generation that only boots to recovery. When attempting a factory reset using iTunes (on a windows machine) or using Finder it errors out.

Looking up the error code gives the common "lost connection" description. I've tried different cables, computers and operating systems with no change in the outcome.

I've even put the iPad into DFU mode but again no change. The iPad attempts to accept the reset only to boot to recovery while the computer's application (iTunes or Finder) freezes up and eventually errors out.

My question, has anyone remedied this sort of problem or is it more like the memory has failed? I was thinking of changing the charge port (even though it seems to charge fine, and is detected when plugged in) but I was wondering if a "data line" has been broken, if that makes any sense.

TIA

iPad 7 Wi-Fi: 2019 iPad 7 Wifi A2197 does not power up

Hi,

My iPad A2197 fails to power up. Since having the CPU replaced (as suggested elsewhere) would cost more than buying another iPad, I've decided to have a go at repairing this myself and hopefully up my skill set at the same time. I figure it's better than chucking it straight in the bin.

With the aid of schematics and a component placement diagram, and using my probe, I've found that caps C8120-C8126, C8180 and C812F are shorting to ground. All caps are connected to PPVDD_S1_SOC. As it's unlikely that they've all failed, I'm wondering what could be causing this short.

Any suggestions as to what to do to further narrow down the problem? What additional information would you need me to provide? TIA!
