iPad Mini 2 LTE: How do I replace the home button on iPad Mini 2?

Hello, I've looked at the guides for the logic board and others hoping that it would get to the point where the Home button is removed, but I cannot see or tell if any of them do, or if the Home button is a separate part or not? Is it part of the Logic Board or is it separate and replaceable?

Mine doesn't click anymore and I have to use the Virtual Home Button, which is useful, but annoying too.

iPad Mini 2 LTE: What are these tiny black lines on the bottom of my LCD?

Hello,

For about a year or so, my iPad mini 2 LTE has these about 1 pixel tall black lines that span along the bottom of the screen. They have one pixel span in between each one and the collective height is about 1cm from the bottom of the screen, I'll to attatch a photo because I doubt anyone knows what I'm saying.

It obviously is something to do with the LCD but, I was wondering if I needed a screen replacement or maybe the connection is off a bit, I don't really know.

iPad Mini 2 LTE: No (or very low) charging, after battery replacement

EDITED: Extremely slow charging, after I installed an iFixit battery replacement.

Note that the slow or semi-random charging had been present prior to the battery update, and began when the iPad last upgraded to some version of ios 12. (approx. a year of bad charging behavior, where it would jump from 4% to 100 % in a very short time.)

Initially, after the battery upgrade, it appeared to be stone dead - screen NOT lighting up at all. Left it on a charger for a couple of days, still nothing.

Connected it to a Mac MINI, and when I pressed the button, the device came on! but it showed 1 or 2 % power. The Mac MINI said that the device was “drawing too much power”, and I should disconnect it. Put it back on a charger for several days. It climbed to a staggering 4% battery level. Everything appears to work, touch screen, buttons, etc. Except for the sad state of charging.

Any obvious culprits?

Hi all,

I have an iPad mini 2 which randomly either takes screenshots when I press the home button or displays ‘slide to power off’ screen.
