Hi everyone ,

let me explain the problem,

so i wanted to repair my iPad mini 4 the screen was broken.

so bought an screen and when i connected the screen the 'sleep' button didn't wanna work.

no problem i know that it's an issue with the soldering or somthing so i send the screen back.

ill get a new screen now the problem is when i power on the ipad , it shows a quick 2 sec apple logo then nothing to see on the screen.

noticed when i try to 'play' with the power and home button it show the start screen but again also for 2 sec.

im out of ideas so can any explain?

is it a bad screen again or did i broke something?

****UPDATE****

Nothing worked ,

A prof checked the ipad on motherboard damage and he noticed that some of the 'ic's ' burned.

so i guess i made some short circuit. ouch :(

Now the iPad works again but still the 'sleep button' not.

This time I came in the classroom and tries to power it on and it didn't. I tried multiple outlets, different usb cords and adapters, and even tried charging it on my laptop. Nothing has powered it on. I feel it get hot when I was charging it for about an hour.

I don't know what the problem is? Please help!

And most importantly, how to fix it? Do I really have to change the entire display?

1. Irrepairable Broken home button (but installed assistive touch)

# Locked with passcode ( i remember it)

1. Stuck in white screen , no assistive touch dot visible saying: press home to upgrade
2. after battery replacement I want to reinstall all my backed up app and info via itunes. I didn’t know I had to disengage lock and I didn’t know assistive touch would not function while upgrading. Now ipad mini is stuck. Itunes says: could not connect to ipad because it is locked. Enter passcode before it can be used with itunes.
3. ipad shows no passcode screen but white screen with: press home to upgrade.
4. it probably started reinstall back-up process and got locked.
5. tried volume up then together with power till black screen, then release power.
6. tried 5 presses on power button.
7. tried volume down with power.
8. tried all but keeps same comment on ipad and on itunes. Please help

Update: I was able to turn the iPad on again with the lock screen showing up, but after I pressed the lock button, it showed garbage display, then went black screen again. I was not able to let it go to lock screen again, I can only see the backlight turn on or off if I press the lock button.

I have a problem with the ipad mini 4 that is not booting up.

I already found a short and desoldered the capacitor and now there are no shorts anymore on the board but now i dont know with what i have to replace it. Maybe you guys can give me a direction.

I marked the capacitor with a white square.

Ipad mini4 wi-fi, doesnt turn on , shows 0.95amps drawn gets hot, i removed the sheild and found the series of capacitors around a big chip shorted i guess its vcc line, i do not have enough knowledge about this board as i use phoneboard software and i do not have schematics of the board, i would like to know how do i get to the actual shorted capacitor, also i see with freeze spray that a coil and a diode near the chip is getting hot, i removed them both but the short remained, please help.

However, I noticed that if I played a video for few minutes while charging and then unplug it and let it continue playing, the iPad doesn’t shut down. I can then use an iPad without a problem as long as I don’t plug the charger back or shut it down. Does anyone else have the same problem?

The entire assembly came apart when replacing the LCD / Digitizer.

What I have looks like a shim that was glued to the glass, followed by what looks like the rubber gasket.

If and when I find the part, does it reassemble as follows?

1) attach shim washer to glass

2) attach rubber to shim.

3)attach button to rubber.

4) glue down bracket.

I'm hoping if there is a replacement part it includes the shim and rubber as one.

Every time I search, “iPad mini 4 Wifi/Bluetooth antenna,” I only get results for the antenna in the bottom left (long cable with antenna on the end). I’ve tried replacing it but it did not solve the issue. Does anyone know about the antenna in the bottom right (short cable with antenna on the end) and where to find a replacement part?
