iPhone 5s: Camera flash not working

My Iphone 5s Camera flash doesnt work, its supposed to have two leds, the yellow and the white, the white doesnt work so i press the flashlight icon in control center and it gets highlighted as working but nothing happens, when i switch to video mode it doesnt light up, i notice the LED or bulb doesnt work because when I take a picture with flash ON the yellow light flashes but theres no flash on pictures, so Its not a software problem, please tell me how to fix this problem and the replacement i need to buy, thank you.

iPhone 6s: Battery Drain After Screen Replacement

I have recently had some issues after iPhone 6s screen replacement.

Whilst testing devices after screen replacement I have seen some rapid battery drain and in some cases full shutdowns.

There is nothing to suggest the devices weren't already like this (as we know the 6s battery situation) however I'm wondering can a screen casue this.

I have recently changed my screen supplier, it doesn't happen on each 6s but ive seen it 3-4times now in past few months and I am curious has anyone else experienced this.

Today turned device on after screen replacement and was 41%, this soon became 39% and whilst testing front camera it shut down. When powered up again it was at 10%

I have acquired an iPhone 4 and won't turn on or even charge. I have carried out various iPhone repairs in the past and was just looking for some advice on what the problem could be!

iPhone 3GS: How to fix "Charging not supported by this accessory" problem?

I'm trying to get a used iPhone 3GS to charge properly but continually get the "Charging is not supported by this accessory" message. The phone is running iOS 6.1.6. The seller said it had been jail-broken at one point but that that had been undone (restored via DFU mode).

I've tried three cables: an Amazon branded one, a Belkin and an Apple (from an iPhone 1). All gave me the "not supported" message. However, all work fine with my other iPhone 3GS (never jail-broken).

These are the other things I've tried but have proved fruitless:

- Restoring the iPhone,

- using an Apple USB wall charger (directly, not through a cradle) with all three of the above cables

- Installing two different dock assemblies

- Installing a new battery bought from ifixit

- shorting the data lines of the cable (saw it on Youtube) on the phone side of the cable

Interestingly, cooling the phone either in the fridge or on an ice-pack before charging seems to increase the chances of a successful charge, but I worry about the condensation that builds up on the phone as it warms up.

Sometimes the phone trickle-charges despite the error message but other times it does not. If it does, it usually takes overnight to do so. Sometimes if I jam the cable hard or stick it in partially or wonky, it’ll charge ok without the error message for maybe 20 seconds. Rarely will it charge all the way without the "charging not supported" message.

At this point, I can only conclude that there's either there's a motherboard hardware issue or that Apple's tight-fisted attempts to destroy functionality of 3rd party accessories that somehow don't meet its hardware standards via software/firmware updates has essentially bricked this phone.

Any suggestions for further troubleshooting would be appreciated.

iPhone 7 Plus: Internal ear speaker not working after screen replacement

I have replaced the screen on an iPhone 7plus now the internal speaker doesn't work. So I replaced the proximity cable and the speaker. Still no sound replaced the screen again. But nothing. Everything else works the proximity the selfie camera all work. Any suggestions? This it about the 30th 7 or 7 plus I have done. I have not had any other problems before this. It worked before I replaced screen. I even tried the old screen and Proximity ando speaker did not work.

I have replaced the screen again and the speaker . I have everything also tried to put all original screen and proximity cables and speaker back on does other work . I have repaired at least 30 iphone 7 and hundreds of the others. I have never had any problems like this . I'm a capable technician of trouble shooting problems. But this has me stumped. There is not any apparent damage to connector either. Is there not somebody out there that has had the same issue with the iPhone 7 plus?

iPhone 3G: Power Button Broken

My Power Button doesen't seem to do anything since yesterday. I restored today, thinking of a software problem, without a result. I then examined my iPhone noticing the power button is slighly pushed into the shell. I then succeeded locking my iphone by really pushing it hard with my fingernail. No satisfying solution for me.

Anyone else got this issue? Would accessing the power button from inside help?

iPhone 6: Why won't my phone go into recovery mode?

I'm trying to put my phone into recovery mode but when I hold the home button and plug it into the computer it just starts up like it normally would instead of going into recovery mode. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

iPhone 6: iPhone 6 not turning on. the cpu gets really hot

the cpu is heating up, there is probably a short somewhere around the cpu or in the cpu itself. how can i measure components with a multimeter to see which of them is the problem. i read somewhere i can't use a multimeter to check resistance because it will pass 9V and the components will fry is that true? if so then what should i measure for?

Hi All,

Have had a couple of strange issues, I thought I'd check in with the community and see if anyone has experienced them..

An iPhone 6S and an iPhone 7. Presented as battery replacements. After replacing the batteries, the phone would charge as normal. However when the phone goes flat, it won't charge anymore.

Battery life was as expected of a new one.

iPhone 3GS: No Power, No Charging, No iTunes

Hi everyone, I need some help please with this iPhone

It's the 3GS 16GB, it does not power up, and does not charge, and it is not recognised in iTunes, it is basically dead!

this has happened after a cheap copy chinese wall charger was used to charge the phone, this is 100% sure because it has done the same to my wife's iphone!!

I have tried to press and hold home and power button, also tried, holding the home button and connect to iTunes, but Nothing!!

Anyway, I have opened it up, dismantled it, tested the battery with a voltmeter and it shows 0.12V, a good battery should show 3.7V

So I have bought a new battery and I have tested it before fitting, and it showed 3.7V on the voltmeter,

After fitting the new battery, the iPhone switched ON, battery showing 40%, but it still does not charge and is not recognised in iTunes, also, the slide button on the screen does not work, so I can't get to Home screen.

After 1 hour, same problem, iPhone does not switch on, does not charge, opened it again, tested the new battery and it shows 0.14V, so it is drained!!

Can someone point me in the right direction please?

What should I do next?

iPhone 5c: iPhone 5c won't turn on but makes charging sounds when plugged in

Recently my iPhone 5c stopped working about two days ago. There are some options that could have caused this although i doubt that these are the helpful. 1. i dropped my phone on its side however i have done this many times before, 2. my phone may have been wet in my bag along with a water bottle that WASNT leaking so i highly doubt thats the problem. I did a dance show and when i came back it didnt turn on but i assumed that it was dead. however when i got home i charged it for a while and it didnt turn on and although the screen was black it was making the charging sounds when the sound was on and the vibrating sounds when it was on silent. i have tried rebooting it by holding down the two buttons and i have tried restoring it through itunes to no avail. someone please help, thanks

Lightning to USB cable: USB-C to lightning wiring diagram

Hello iFixers 🙌

I have two broken Apple Lightning cables. One is a USB to Lightning and the other one is USB-C to Lightning.

I'm more or less ok with the first one and it's wiring diagram - it has 4 wires just like the new replacement connectors I got from AliExpress 😁

However with a USB-C to Lightning I feel way less confident - this one has an additional blue wire and here I need your help - maybe someone could share a proper wiring diagram for this case?

My iPhone 5S was water damaged and died for more than 4 months. I have just opened it up and tried to connect to iTunes and suddenly, it worked. iTunes said that my iPhone need to be restored. I tried to restore and error 4013 suddenly appeared. I just wanna make sure that nothing in my phone is broken. Home button, screen, battery, power button are still work.

I had just gotten a new tzumi dream vision and I tried to connect the controller but it just won’t it crept showing me an error message saying to make sure it is on and in range. I have tried resetting and holding down the multifunction button but it won’t connect.
