I changed a screen for iPhone 4, and when I turn it on, it says "iPhone is deactivated, try again in 21 713 164 minutes".

I have never experienced this before, do you have any answers to why this happens - and what to I do ?

My question is this: Is there a reset button/switch on the motherboard itself? If so, where is it & what is the best way to use it? Thanks to anyone who can help

So my Iphone 4 fell in water and now it is in boot loop. It actually doesn’t work without charging and when plugged into charge, it starts to boot loop. I don’t need the phone, but I have a lot of old pictures of my children in it. I tried Itunes update( I can get it in itunes mode) and all the popular programs that recover files or flash the Iphone with keeping the files. I tried the home button and power button techniques but nothing seems to work.

Can someone tell me what actually the problem is?

After solving those by deleting the host file, i finally got through then i got the following "The iphone can not be restored, The device can not be found" and then i get another screen telling me that itunes can connect due to the password lock.

Any ideas as what I should do next? would jailbreaking remove the passcode?

Now when I put it back together, it will turn on, but gets very hot in the lower right side (same side as sim card).

I tried 2 other batteries, but had the same issue. Phone turns on, works fine, gets really hot after 1-2 minutes and shuts down (I assume because of overheating).

I disconnected everything from the logic board and only plugged in the battery, and the logic board still gets hot. Seems to be starting in the covered L-shaped area next to the battery connector (area with the Texas Instruments 343S0499 Touch Screen Controller & 36MY1EE NOR and mobile DDR).

Does this mean that she needs a new logic board, or is there anything else I should try?

This is confusing me because it says one in my phone and then one on the back side of my phone. Anyone have any advice? Is this normal to see?

i forget about it, but came across it two days ago, and thought "maybe all the water dried out of this thing, maybe it will work",i didn't had any hopes what so ever for it, but i had a charging cable laying around and plugged it in "nothing to loose".

after a few minutes i heard and felt it vibrate. i unplugged it, plugged it back in and again, after a few minutes it vibrated. i left it charging for a few hours when i came back i unplugged it ,tried to turn it on, but no reaction. when i plugged it in again i made this "ploing" sound. i decided to let it charge a while longer.

now it vibrates when i turn off the silent mode, it makes the sound when i plug the charger in, but the screen doesn't do anything really. unless i try to force restart the phone then i see, very weak the apple logo.

what does this mean? is only the screen dead? would the phone be "normal" again when it is replaced? or is it something else?

can somebody please help to diagnose this iphone further?

I recently replaced screen to my old iPhone 4. After reassembling I tried to boot it, but it just tries to boot all over again. Disassembled the device and checked all the connections, still not working. I replaced battery, home button and power button flex cable also, so they should work properly.

I tried with the old battery too, (I removed it as a working part) but it's not charging it. (the old battery was empty and it worked before I started the screen replacement procedure.)

Looks like the charging connector is broken(?) Also, my computer(PC) don't recognize the phone and neither the iTunes.

A little black component just below the righthand screw(which holds the protective shield for charging dock flex cable) have been cracked, can that cause this kind of problem?

I don't really understand the picture of the logic board's components, so I'm not sure which one of these it is.
