iPhone 4S: iPhone 4S Battery Connector detaches and takes out one pad

My surface-mount soldering skills are on the basic level.

I got set back even further when I saw one of the pads had also detached with the battery connector.

I actually heard the iPhone 4S can function without a battery.

How should I restore functionality on that detached pad? I will go hunt for a schematic.

What's the likelihood of restoring the phone to usable condition? We want to perform data recovery, at the very least.

iPhone 4S: New battery for 4s from ifixit-still draining fast

I replaced my battery with one from iFixit, but it still drains fast and will get hot. It will drain overnight every time if not plugged. It also turns off by itself and I have to do a hard restart. When it does restart the battery will say it is at 30%--not at 2%.

I have turned off all background apps and even turned off the Mail function (and retrieving mail through Gmail app)

iPhone 4S: stuck in "searching," SIM not recognized, then messed it up more

I replaced my cracked screen on my iPhone 4s. To my knowledge, I did it correctly. When I turned my phone on everything looked great, but then I realized I was stuck in "searching."

I tried:

-taking out my sim card (didnt recognize "no sim"

-changing time/date

-having someone call the phone

-and DFU mode

-turning phone off with sim out and then waiting to put the sim back in once its powered up fully.

I've read all the questions already asked. Someone mentioned trying to "restore" your phone from itunes. So, i moved on to that but now my phone is bricked. It will not complete the restoring process, at the very end it gives an error -1. which i understand is a "software error."

someone had mentioned that if this happens and your mac recognizes the phone's serial numbers and information, you may be okay to fix it. but if it doesn't read those, then the phone must be replaced. My mac recognized my iphone's serial number and all of its information still. I simply cannot get it to take new software in. It is stuck in restore mode with the itunes logo and usb on the screen. I cannot get it to do anything else. Thanks for your time

iPhone 4S: Why is my iPhone 4s screen fading in and out

I have a question I have a problem with my iphone 4s ok it had got water damaged. after about a week of none use, i turned it on first the phone started over heating so I replaced the battery, then the screen started like flickering and going in and out and fading out. So i replaced the screen. everything was fine accept the front camera stop working I replaced the front camera, I let the phone go dead before charging the battery for 6 hours, then I realized my loud speaker wasn't working I replaced it. so now my problem is the screen fades in and out while trying to charge it, but when I i unplug the battery and plug the charger straight to the phone the screens comes on and works just fine. also my battery connector broke off do you think I could need a new battery connector or a new battery?

iPhone 4S: Screen won't turn on, flashlight won't turn off.. d'fuq?

My boyfriend's iPhone is pretty old and pretty well-worn. We were in a sauna when his phone started really glitching out.. The flashlight wouldn't turn off at first, the flashlight button on the screen went grey, as if there was no flashlight connected or something.

Then the screen went black after a few minutes of us trying to fix that and it's been that way for the entire night.. The phone will buzz when connected to charge, and made a "tap" noise recently as he was trying to mess with it, but no real changes..

Trying to turn it on, charge it, hard reset, even smacking the camera on a corner as one person on this site suggested, doesn't work.

The percentage of charge, at which it shuts down, has been steadily increasing. This morning it shut down at 68 percent, when it started doing this it was shutting down about 50 percent.
