iPhone 4S: Front facing camera shutter stuck?

Hi,

I'm having some real issues with my phone at the moment. I've just done a screen replacement and just as i thought all was finally fixed, i went onto the camera. It first appeared to work fine (this being the back facing camera) however when switching to the front facing camera the shutter doesn't open at all. Here's a picture of it :

It's annoying as always when you fix it, another thing happens. I'm not too sure what's happened with the camera as the phone wasn't in working condition when i bought it, so it may have been not working before i got it. It just seems to be the front camera that's gone wrong somewhere along the line.

iPhone 4S: My aux plug in seems out of reach?

My auxilary plug in works on some cords, but not all of them (I have taken my case off.) It wasn't long before I found out that if I pushed down hard enough on every aux plug in I could get it to play music. With headphones, car aux cords and ihome cords it all works if I push hard enough. It seems as though the connector has become just out of reach? My brother said to put tin foil down the plug in... I've learned to not follow his advice before so not about to start now, any suggestions. It won't play music unless pushed down far enough to reach the connector

iPhone 4S: Bypass battery instructions? Use wall charger only w/o battery...

I'd like to get rid of the battery in my 4S and run directly off of the wall charger. I use the phone as a wireless IP camera and it does a great job, but I've gone through three batteries exploding on me already. It is my old work phone, which I'm allowed to keep and use, but not sell (legal issues).

Is there a way to get the phone to THINK there is a battery installed, let it boot, and have wifi work - without installing yet another battery? I've read some posts with "bypass instructions" but those were for broken pad connectors - and though I have soldering experience, I would still like some hand holding for specific details/points if possible.

iPhone 4S: Replaced broken iPhone 4S screen+ buttons & now device wont turn on

14 months ago i dropped my iPhone 4S breaking the screen, home button and on/off button. I finally got around to replacing all the broken parts yesterday. I plugged the phone in to charge and the red battery sign appeared. I left the phone plugged in for a couple of hours and when i returned it was in the same state and would not power up. I have tried reseting the phone but still no power up. I have plugged the phone into my pc and itunes does not recognise the device. Does anyone have any idea what may be the problem? Could it be the battery is now faulty as the phone has not been switched on in so long? Or could it be something i may have done wrong or forgotten to resemble while replacing the screen and buttons?... Both buttons and screen now seem to be working ok though. Or is there likely to be a more serious hardware issue?

Any help/tips/advice would be much appreciated

iPhone 4S: iPhone disabled, itunes not working please help!

I purchased a 16gb iphone 4S on Ebay. (I have my ebay invoice to prove it). When powered on, the screen says "iphone disabled" & " swipe for emergency". I have tried multiple time to restore the phone by connecting to itunes without any luck. It takes forever (over an hour) & then I get a message stating that there was an error or an interuption (no interuptions should be occurring). I may need to attempt to return the phone for a refund (hopefully b/c I've never had to do that before so idk how that process works on ebay). But before I do, I was wondering if I have any other options? I do know how to open up a 4S I've replaced a battery in one for my son & a screen on another for a friend, & I have my own apple id too because I've had an iphone 3g & a 4S previously myself. Before I contact Ebay & then have to buy yet another phone, is there anything else I can do to get this one working?

iPhone 4S: Battery not working, no charge

I had an account with Sprint with this device before, but I canceled and am now looking at going back. Anyway, I called customer service in order to get my old number back, as that was going to be a huge factor in whether or not I would go back to Sprint. After a long time on the phone, they said they could get my number back, and I agreed to restart my service.

I had to charge my phone, though, as it was dead, but when I did, it needed to be reactivated. I wanted to do this right away and customer service was already closed, so I researched how to activate it manually. One of the suggestions was to take the battery out, so I took the phone apart and did just that. When I put it back in, though, it wouldn't charge or turn on. I hooked it up to the computer, same thing. Nothing.

I took it in to the Apple Store and they hooked it up to something that could tell them if there was a current from the battery (not sure if I'm saying that right), and there was nothing. The tech said that based on that, the motherboard must be broken or fried and said that I would just need to get a new phone.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to something else that I could try?

TIA.

Ok so this person asked me to fix their iphone 4s because it would only work when plugging it into the computer. However I later discovered that the connection from the FPC battery connector onto the logic board had been broken off and one of the connections is completely broken off and I can take it right off the board. I was wondering if anyone had the best way to approach this problem. I have some soldering background and if that is needed I would be able to do so.
