iPhone 6 Plus: Some issues after replacing home button and battery

Hello,

I refurbished an old iPhone 6 Plus today and the phone is working properly now. Unfortunately, the assembly back together is giving me issues.

I replaced the home button and the new home button works, but the button cannot be physically pressed when fully assembled. It feels stuck. I can slightly loosen the two screws to allow it to work, but I don’t think it was like that before. I’ve reseated the home button a few times with no success.

Secondly, the phone does not sit flush when fully assembled again. It sticks out towards the bottom of the phone. It almost certainly has to do with the home button assembly. I have also replaced the battery, however, the issue persists with or without the battery installed.

I’m not sure where to go from here. Any help is appreciated.

iPhone 6 Plus: Buggy touch after water damage

Hey all. On Tuesday I was at a pool while on vacation and dropped my iPhone 6 Plus in the pool for just a second. I took it out turned it on a few times (big mistake, I know) but it wasn’t working. I didn’t have any tools with me so I wasn’t able to open it up until last night (Sunday). I cleaned the logic board with 99% Isopropyl alcohol, let it sit overnight then tried it again this morning. Everything worked, the phone turned on, but the touch on the screen was not working properly. Is this a board level problem or will I be completely fine if I just buy a new screen? Thank you all so much

iPhone 6 Plus: iPhone 6+ is dead and won't charge, but it says it is

In the morning I woke up, and my phone was dead. So I shrugged and left it to charge while I was at school. I came back after around 7 hours, and it still had no charge, but it said it was charging. So I moved it to another outlet, and still nothing. I tried another charger, nothing. Then I tried to plug the charger into my computer. Still nothing! I tried ANOTHER charger in ANOTHER port, and it still won’t charge. I tried taking off the case, blowing into the charging port. Nothing. So I’ve turned to the internet. My iPhone has always had a bad battery. It would drain very quickly, and when it says 30%, or something pretty low, it would just die. But I always keep it plugged in, so it’s fine. But I’m so confused, so, please help!

iPhone 6 Plus: Is there an camera flash connector?

Basically I put together an iphone 6s plus as a project via a new 3rd party rear housing + connecters, battery and screen from ebay and used the board from a damaged phone (camera “knocked off” not working, headphone jack thinking headphones plugged even when not and id button not working).

Phone works now, board coupled with said ebay parts. I’m using the original camera as that’s showing a crisp image and the ebay one was blurry, but I have no flash.

My question is… Is the flash on a separate conector to the camera?

It doesn’t even work when used as the flashlight from the home screen. (I’m assuming the flashlight icon is a flashlight and the camera flash would light up when that’s used?)

iPhone 6 Plus: iPhone dodgy screen or chip?

Recently I started a iPhone business and I started fixing a dodgy iPhone 6 Plus in which it’s touch didn’t work. So I opened up the phone and put the connectors back in place. It worked but I could still see the phone show white lines at the top every now and then when I put pressure on the back. Recently I opened up the phone again and now it showed just lines on the screen and no display. I opened it again and now this time the screen is black but I can still hear vibrations/noises. I keep opening it up but nothing happens. So should I replace the screen or get someone to replace the digitiser?

I have an iphone 6 plus running ios 11.4 I dropped it kinda hard on the pavement yesterday but the screen was not damaged, it wasnt until this morning that after having it charged it started to loop the apple logo, however this morning it only did it for less then 30 sec.. it has now been more then 4-5 hrs that its been looping. I have a mac laptop and tried plugging it in but the phone does not register and it does not vibrate. I cant hard reset because the home button doesnt work so I really dont know what to do. Right now I got the screen to go black but as soon as I press the power button it goes back to looping. Im going to try and get the battery to die completely and see if charging it from the laptop could maybe register it and I can restore it from there, any help would be greatly appreciated!

iPhone 6 Plus: iPhone 6 Plus no display, no backlight, already replaced chestnut

Hi guys, I got an iPhone 6 Plus here. When connected to power supply, the phone appears working (it charges fine, the readings of Amps in power supply shows that the phone is starting up normally). However, the phone has no display, no backlight. I checked the chestnut circuit, 6V was detected on PP6V0_LCM_BOOST, however, all 5.7V and -5.7V are missing on PN5V7_SAGE_AVDDN, PP5V7_SAGE_AVDDH, and PP5V7_LCM_AVDDH. It looks like the chestnut is not working properly. So I went ahead to replace the chestnut, unfortunately it made no difference. I did the chestnut couple of times, the results are exactly the same: all 5.7V and -5.7V are missing. I checked cap C1547 and L1519, I did find vcc_Main voltage 3.8V, which means power are getting into chestnut properly. I don’t understand whey there are no 5.7V on the output lines.

I have two questions here:

Apart from chestnut chip, what else can cause 5.7V missing on the output lines?

I checked the resistance value of the pads under chestnut chip, the resistance on D1 is a bit too low (about 150 ohms), normal value should be around 352 ohms. Pad D1 is the PP_VCC_Main line. So what caused the resistance on D1 to be so small?

Any help would be highly appreciated.
