iPhone XS: How can I find the model number of this iPhone with dead display?

I have looked all over, inside and out with a magnifying glass, and can't find anything like a model number or name. A friend brought it to me to replace the screen. She said it was a Xs and it matches visually. I got the replacement display, have it disassembled, but when I went to install the new display, I found it doesn't quite fit. The tabs on the side don't line up. What is an easy way to discover if this is an X or an Xs?

iPhone XS: Apple Pay not working after frame replacement

I have an iPhone XS. Until recently had original but broken screen and rear glass so I decided to replace them. After moving all the parts over and rebuilding everything works as it should apart from Apple Pay. I’ve been able to add / remove cards etc but it just says hold near reader and doesn’t recognise that one is nearby. I have tested wireless (WiFi), cellular, Bluetooth and wireless charging are all working just not Apple Pay.

From searching online I’m unable to determine exactly which parts I should be looking at to get this up and running again?

any ideas ?

Thanks!

iPhone XS: Phone turns off taking a photo

To give a bit more detail I have an iPhone XS that doesn’t always turn off but every so often when taking photos will cause it to shutdown even if it has battery it then won’t turn back on until you provide charge (like a jump start) after receiving a brief charge it comes back to life and doesn’t do it again for a while. I can replicate it if I take sometimes 10’s of photos sometimes 100’s.

The only thing I’ve changed is the battery which is on its third now however the most recent was from ReplaceBase so decent quality. I can’t find any panic logs to show what’s happening.

iPhone XS: Ghost touch after battery replacement! Why

Hi everyone, so i am currently having ghost touch problems on my iPhone XS after i replaced the battery. The iPhone clicks, drags, opens and closes apps on its own, writes and calls autonomously: it’s becoming unusable. Also i noticed that there is a vertical line where touch doesn’t work at all (I tried painting the whole screen using the Notes app to find out). But now every inch of the touch screen is unstabl

The screen is perfectly fine, there are no scratches and cracks and also it has not been replaced at all it is the original screen.the screen is separating from the metal body but it has been like this for several months.

The battery isn’t swollen.

Do you have any idea?

iPhone XS: Why is my touchscreen not responding to touch?

My brother just got a new phone so I get his old broken phone to try to fix it. The back glass was broken and he dropped it into water and quickly got it back out. A little bit later the faceID stopped working and the next day the touch screen didn't work. Eventually, he took it to a repair shop and they couldn't get the phone to turn on. I played around with it and got it to turn on though. The touchscreen still didn't work so I looked inside again and saw the LCIs were red. So, I gave it the alcohol treatment by taking out the logic board and soaking it in alcohol. The screen still doesn't respond to touch but it does seem to be in good condition. Not sure why this is happening and I don't know what to do next.

iPhone XS: Any idea why FaceID might not be working on the new screen?

I have a global/EU iPhone XS (A2097) and this is my second iFixit screen replacement. Unlike in the guide, the earpiece and sensor assembly remain connected to the logic board and are not connected to the screen at all. Last year, I purchased a replacement screen from iFixit, replaced, and everything worked fine. Because the earpiece and sensor assembly were not attached to the screen, I simply disconnected the two connectors from the old screen, connected the two connectors for the new screen and... voila! Now, however, with the new replacement screen, FaceID isn't working. However, when I reconnect the old replacement screen, FaceID works.

I've attached a link showing the inside of the iPhone in between both replacement screens. I've also highlighted the earpiece and sensor assembly which you can see is still connected to the logic board despite the screen being completely disconnected.

Any idea why FaceID might not be working on the new screen?

iPhone XS: 3 minute boot loop, where to buy charge port?

Hi,

I’ve been having this problem non stop for months and months. Got an iPhone XS which is all working brilliantly, but apart from the 3 minute boot loop. Every 3 minute’s almost exactly it restarts on it’s own accord.

After a lot of research, charge port seems to do this. I’ve tried 2 non-genuine ones from ebay and they both do the same. Does anyone have any UK links as to where I can buy a genuine OEM charge port that’ll stop the 3 minute boot loop? Anyone had this issue before and fixed it?
