iRobot Roomba 560: ERROR 10 - without a good reason

I am hoping one of you techno geeks (like me) may be able to help me with solve a Roomba ERROR issue.

I mod Rooba 560/650s to act as a powerful UVC sterilization robot.

I pull all the motors, blowers and brushes and replace it with a custom UVC bulb.

If its bacteria or Viruses . . . .we kill it. (after two passes)

Overall - it works great . . .

[b]PROBLEM: we are getting ERROR 10's when we try to run it in a larger open area - say 20 X 20.

IT is definitely NOT a wheel issue or jam as the code would indicate.

This is some other issue that stops the robot in its tracks and ERROR 10's.

I am thinking it just gets to far from its base OR it went to far without seeing a wall or obstruction. I am trying NOT to add a virtual wall or obstructions to make the robot happy. Perhaps there is a small circuit I can add to make it think it has seen a wall or obstruction?

Can anyone help me figure out why my Roombas (Germbots) error out like this.

More - over - I am willing to give a $500.00 finders fee to anyone who comes up with a solution for me. (for real)

iRobot Roomba 400: Brushes making ratcheting sound, not sucking up dirt

Recently my old roomba started making intermittent high pitched sound, along with a ratchety sound. It goes all over, and is not throwing an error, but the bin is empty afterward. Took it partially apart, blew all the accumulated dirt out, cleaned it up, but no improvement. Ideas?

iRobot Roomba J7 Plus: Roomba J7+ doesn’t work

I have roomba J7+ that doesn’t work. When on the charger the light just spins endlessly. It won’t let me reset it when I hold the button down for 10sec or 20 or 30….. as soon as it comes off the charger the light stop spinning. And then will go back to spinning once placed back on the charger. I have tried cleaning it taking apart, emptying out all of the filters and chambers cleaning the wheels and the brushes and I’ve even removed the battery and put the battery back in. Nothing changes.

My Roomba 692 lights up the CLEAM key in green but it doesn't move, nor does an error message appear, either manually or via the APP. It turns on and does nothing. can anybody help me???

I changed the batteries in my Roomba because it said that there was no battery detected and when I changed it, instantly smoke came out and the wheels spun. What has happened?

I can't find the battery replacement for the Roomba Pro Elite which my friend just gave me because she doesn't use it. According to the on-screen manual, somewhere I saw that it is a Roomba Pro Elite 500? I can't find a battery listed anywhere for that series. According to my friend, she has had the Roomba for about 15 years. Help.

iRobot Roomba 770: iRoomba 775 vacuum motor always on (?!)

Hi,

My Roomba 775 has started acting weird. With a full battery (measured ~15 V) even when the Roomba is switched off, as soon as I put in the dust bin, the vacuum motor will engage and remain running (?!).

Likewise, once I switch it on, the vacuum motor remains engaged. The Roomba won’t move if I press on “Clean”. Zero action, other than switching on the lights and keeping the vacuum motor running without need.

I’ve tried the reset trick (press and holding Clean for 10 seconds), but this did not help.

Any hints on where to look? I’ve googled up and down without success :(

iRobot Roomba 870: My roomba is not charging

I have just got this new roomba and this is my second day of using it. When it said that the battery was low it went to its charging dock and stared charging. After an hour it starting moving and the app said that it was going to its dock again. So I moved it to the dock but it didn’t charge. I tried wiping the charging heads and the dock and put the roomba back on the dock. I did charge this time but later it stopped charging.

iRobot Roomba 630: won't start the machine

Whilst the machine was cleaning my room, it got stuck with the prompt to "move Roomba to a new location then press clean to restart". While I was moving the Roomba and attempting to remove the duster, I accidentally dropped the Roomba onto the ground.

Since then, it has been repeating the same prompt but not been operating. Please help?
