Hi,

maybe your touchpad is deactivated in the BIOS.

You can acces the BIOS by pressing F1 direct after you pushed the power on button. (sometimes it is F2 or DEL, depends on model).

If it is activated in BIOS, maybe it is a driver problem or a hardware problem.
