Make sure the camera is fully charged or charging. If you connect the device to a computer or a charger, a screen should show that it is charging. If the screen pops up, it means that the camera was fully discharged. If the screen does not pop up, you may have a dysfunctional device but do not be alarmed and upset because there might be a way to fix it!
The reasons the camera is not turning on can consist of water damage, the camera may have fallen too hard, the battery is fully discharged while the port is not accepting the cable, etc.
