Home button permanently depressed, after the phone fell down

My phone fell down and the home button is permanently depressed. The screen automatically flashes on and off due to this. the home button also does not function and when I press it there is no movement, indicating it has already been depressed to the full extent.

How do I get the home button functioning again ?
