I recently replaced the battery in my clamshell G3 graphite. Once I start the iBook it recognizes the battery and the charging symbol appears for about a few minutes, but then it switches to "no battery there".

The guy from salcar.de where I bought the battery says there are problems with that battery type from other customers.

Do I need to clean the contacts or is it an operating system problem, or do I need a new battery?
