The one for one swap may not be the best way :-)
Sure, you could swap out the current HD with a SSHD which is the easiest way to gain more storage and the benefit of a deep SSD cache. Swapping out the HD for a SSD could also be done but there are some issues here. First you need a special cable to replace the internal thermal sensor and a 2.5" to 3.5" frame to hold the SSD as they are physically smaller.
-Frankly, I think during the dual drive setup is the best here! Here you hang on to your current HD but add in the SSD with a bit of work you can then make the SSD the boot drive holding your OS and your Apps. Saving your HD for the deep storage for your music, videos and other files.
