Contact Acer customer support if you want to obtain warranty service on it. If you want to plow right ahead, then you can use an iOpener ([[Topic:iOpener]]) to loosen the adhesive around the screen, and remove the screen in order to access the battery (I'm assuming that this model is the one with the detachable keyboard). Make sure that you are properly grounded using an anti-static wrist strap ([product|IF145-071]) in order to remove the battery connector with a spudger and replace it.
