== Check for loose metal that might be causing a short somewhere! ==

I was having the same issue after replacing the screen on my iPhone 5c for the second time. Hot phone, quick battery drain, plus a sometimes erratic touchscreen.

'''Turns out the screw anchor for the bottom left plate that goes over the three points where the lcd connects to the phone had broken loose''', and was making contact with the surrounding area - which is where my phone was getting hot. I removed the loose piece, put the everything back together, and everything went back to normal!

== Update: ==
Here's a picture showing which screw base snapped off:

Fixing the loose bit DID solve the erratic screen behavior, '''but my battery still drains pretty fast''', even after replacing the battery. So that didn't actually fix it. Sorry all. No luck yet :*(
