Does the bootloop and motherboard has any correlation?

I bought oneplus one 64G phone on Jan 2015, days passed, i don't had any issues with the phone. I keep it safe and clean. No games or any other hardware intensive app at my device. Suddenly one day(last before friday), when I opened my uber app and turned on GPS, phone went to bootloop. I formated it, cleaned my OS via fastboot and adb mode (several images which are part of oneplus one), nothing worked. Seeked oneplus one remote assitance, not able to identify and asked to visit ESC (excl. service center), they told motherboard issue, as their software isn't flashing my device. I told them I able to flash various recovery images (twrp, cyngn recovery img, cwm) but not actual OS. Is it directly related to motherboard or it is a wild guess.

If thats the case, I'm from India and i need a spare motherboard as well? any help or leads would help.
