Hi,
-Have you checked that the fuse, in the fuse panel, for the instrument cluster is OK?
+Have you checked in the fuse panel, that the fuse for the instrument cluster is OK?
Here is a link which shows the fuse box location and the allocation of the fuses. The fuse marked as Fuse #5 "Control unit for Instrument Cluster is the one you have to locate.
If you replace the fuse and it 'blows' immediately or shortly after, there is a problem and it should be checked out by either an auto electrician or an Audi dealer to find the cause..
It may be also have been simply that the fuse has simply failed. There are a few causes: fatigue due to age,mechanical failure of the fuse due to vibration etc.
