We had a horrible smell and nothing worked for our Sears Elite. I love this Dishwasher, but it developed a bitter, stinging stink. The repairman came out, and everything tested well. After an hour, we both discovered a small piece of melted plastic on the heating element. That was it! He picked it out and all is well.
