-Supposedly, if you purchased from amazon and have your amazon order id, you can request a free replacement remote to be sent out to you from dbpower (dbpower.co) . I say supposedly because I have been trying to get them to send me one for a little over a week now, though I bought mine on ebay and do not have an amazon order id so that may explain the delay.
+If you purchased from amazon and have your amazon order id, you can request a free replacement remote to be sent out to you from dbpower (dbpower.co). If you are really nice and persistent (as I was), they may even send you the replacement remote even if you misplaced your order id (like I did). A huge thank you to MJ, Dom, and Ted at DBPower for being so helpful!
-The universal projector remote mentioned above is unlikely to work, the user manual does not list that it supports DBPower devices. In fact, I can find no DBPower in any IR database I am aware of (except harmony, which seems to have some knowledge that the brand exists, but without any of the devices/IR codes) and no universal remotes that support DBPower either.
+The universal projector remote mentioned above is unlikely to work as the user manual does not list that it supports DBPower devices. After i recieved my replacement remote and determined its IR signals, I searched the irdb database for other devices that matched and although none matched exactly (you’d have to press menu for volume up, for example) there are some obscure brands that have used NEC1 Device 2 in products before… so there is at least a possibility that some universal remote somewhere may work a little (likely only by coincidence, and likely only a few buttons would work).
-Does anyone know what IR codes this remote uses? If I find them first, I will come back and share them here and elsewhere.
+If you have a programmable universal remote, you may be able to use IrScrutinizer to generate the IR codes and export them to something your remote will understand. Logitech harmony users can open a support ticket and provide the pronto hex function codes to them so they can update their database and you can select the device in myharmony as you normally would.
+
+I uploaded the IR code detail to irdb (irdb.tk, also found on github) and https://www.ifixit.com/Answers/View/521743/Does+anyone+have+the+remote+control+and+a+way+to+share+its+IR+codes#answer523055
