inserted 16gbs onto my 8, 1 Early 2011 MBP doesn’t recognize the one slot of the ram. Tested the Ram on memtest86 and a mid 2012 MBP works just fine. I updated to high sierra, reset pram and smc still no luck of getting the mac to see it. maybe the ram speeds too slow. HOWEVER I did once see the mac say 16gb of ram. so maybe i have a faulty port. but when running my original 2x4GB Ram it saw both completely fine. So I’m truly at a lost
