Look at the top of the handle at the spot where the lid locks to it. My handle is in two pieces the top black piece that attaches to a clear section. Immediately below the top of the handle about half an inch down there is a very small Gap where the lid locks to the top of the handle. I had to use a popsicle stick to shove into that Gap that allows that small piece interior piece that's below the top edge of the handle to be depressed and for the motor to activate. You must continue to apply pressure to the popsicle stick or use something thin and sturdy like a thin key, to keep the motor running.
