Most likely a battery problem.
The AA batteries must be of good quality and the battery contacts must be clean.
This camera is also equipped with a built-in, rechargeable battery to keep track of the date and time as well as other settings, regardless of whether the camera is switched on or not.
This rechargeable battery is constantly charged while using the camera. However, if you only use the camera for short periods, this battery will gradually become exhausted. If you do not use the camera at all, the battery will be completely exhausted after approximately one month. In that case, you must charge the rechargeable battery before using the camera.
Even if this rechargeable battery is not charged, you can still use the camera, but the date and time are not displayed.
Charging method for the built-in, rechargeable spare battery
Insert batteries with sufficient remaining charge in the camera, and then leave the camera switched off for 24 hours or more.
If the built-in, rechargeable spare battery is defective, it can also cause problems.
